You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)
Occupation
Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse
Hobbies/Passions

- Remember to keep physical descriptions out of your conversations.
- Each person gets only 10 posts in this thread!
- Posts are limited to 150 words! The idea is to give your characters a little taste but leave them wanting MORE!

Percy let out a small chuckle, "I'm pretty introverted so I totally get that. I think it's pretty cool, everyone's so nice!" he commented. "I found some strawberries, sweet, delicious, and healthy."

"I'm a total night owl, people tell me that's typical for a creative. I like to stay up working on music or reading a good book." Percy said, "oh and I love to dance in my kitchen in the middle of the night, like when the whole house is quiet and even my cats are asleep."

"Oh gosh, so right out the gate with what people think I'm weird for," Percy said with a nervous laugh. "I have seven cats, I didn't mean to have seven cats, but I have seven cats and I love them like they're my children and I think they all have fine tastes in music."
"And I think that's totally a compliment because cats are amazing, and I like them more than I like most people."

Percy gulped "Umm yeah, there's seven of them. I started with two, but then there were cats that people said were broken but they're still cats and I think they should get a chance, so some of my cats are missing legs and eyes and stuff, but it's ok five cats was still reasonable," he explained. "Then I inherited two more last year. So ummm... do you like cats?"

Gemini paused. “I feel,” she started quietly, “like I am supposed to say yes. But. Well. No. I’m not a pet person. My father was. We had cats and dogs and birds and fish and ferrets and...you name it. Our house was always a mess. Everything smelled like urine. It should have been condemned. So, no. Not a pet person. I don’t hate them, but they aren’t for me.”

"I guess that makes sense, it's a lot of responsibility and I totally have to clean the litter boxes every single day," Percy said, "I work from home a lot so I'm there with them often. Being a stay at home cat dad is pretty much a hobby," he chuckled nervously. "My gramps and I were the only pet people in our family, he built in all sorts of stuff into the house for them."
"So what would you say a perfect dinner would be?" Percy asked, changing the subject.

"Those are absolutely not the wrong answer, though I think I want clarification on if you mean like a candlelit homecooked dinner or literally cooking dinner with a candle like a challenge on a cooking show. I'd be down for either one though" Percy said, with a chuckle, "I'm definitely a homebody when I have the choice. And yeah I've been to one of those before, pretty cool as long as the person next to you isn't chewing loudly or something. I went to see Star Wars in one of them and they had matching cocktails, it was fun"

Gemini laughed heartily at Percy's clarification.
"Not a candle!" She barely got the words out. Her laughter soon became muffled, then died altogether. "Ahh," a sigh, "sorry about that. Uhm, yeah, I've been to the movie tavern a lot. Mixes two things I feel I need. Oddly enough, I kind of like going alone. I like to people watch. Not like a creepy stalker, but because seeing other people engage and stuff makes me happy."

"People watching is really interesting. When I go out, and I do go out sometimes I promise I'm not a cave troll, I like to try to guess the relationships of the people around me. Are they an old married couple or are they on a first date or something, it's quite entertaining," Percy said with a chuckle, "So I take it you like movies a lot? What are some of your favorites?"

"Oh I love Mission Impossible, I've only seen two of the Fast and Furious movies and I couldn't tell you which ones but I had a lot of fun with them," Percy said, "It made me want to drive a racecar for a bit, but then I figure that experience would probably just make me puke." Percy added with a laugh, "Is it weird that I love musicals? La La Land is one of my favorites and I definitely learned how to play "Let It Go" right after I saw it."
