You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):

Penn chuckled at the talking wall bit. "Well, it is a lovely sounding wall from this end." He said, commenting on her voice. "I'm Penn. Martial arts classes, huh? That's pretty cool. I guess I better look out, right?" There was a pause as he cleared his throat. "Sorry, that came out weird." He chuckled a little nervously. "Anyway, um, a weekend for me is usually spent hanging with my dogs, playing video games, or catching up on work. I'm a software developer. So work and play are...similar for me." he replied.
"So what do you do for work, Shaan? Something that has you working weekends clearly."

"That sounded a lot like flirting.. For the record the wall sounds nice from this end too. Don't worry, the martial arts will stay in the bag." She laughed and tried to relax from the giddy feeling. "I love dogs so thats a huge plus. I also love video games so theres a giant plus. What do you usually run to game wise?"
"Im a bartender, Weekends are usually good money so I like to work em."

"Did it? Well that's good I guess, I'm usually terrible at flirting." He said with a laugh.
"Oh really?! Well bonus points for us then!" He said, unable to hide the interest in his voice, and not caring to try. "I like MMOs and RPGs the most. I'm on a Guild Wars kick at the moment. I recently finished The Witcher 3. Also can't go wrong with classics like Mario and Donkey Kong." he said with a grin. "What about you?"

"Ok so I'll finally cop to it. Im gonna lean closer to the class for this one." And she did, she leaned close to tell her dirty little secret. "I totally do play League of Legends. I refuse to lose points for it though, I like Apex Legends too.. But I love some RPG's loved The Witcher, Dragon Age is my favorite series.. and I'm planning on picking up Devil May Cry 5.I do love the classics too though. She chuckled slightly.

Penn found himself leaning closer to hear her as she said she was going to lean closer to tell him. He laughed at her confession. "Hey, own it!" he told her happily. "Everyone has their guilty pleasures right? Those are all great games." He told her.
"Alright, Shaan. So what do you do when you get some time off of work? What's your go-to free day activity?" He asked with genuine interest.

Shaan felt a grin spread over her face and her voice betrayed it "My day is usually get up and go for a jog or do something to get my blood going, get myself a cup of some sort of coffee and a bagel sandwich. I have a weakness for bacon egg and cheese bagels, but they make me sick. I don't eat pork often so yeah. Then I go take a shower and kinda have a random draw day, sometimes I play games, sometimes I go to the park and sketch. I usually just relax on my days off. Once I get home though the pants go in the corner and I look like a hobo in a giant shirt till I order dinner. Sometimes I see my grams sometimes I dont. What about you?"

"That day sounds amazing!" Penn said with a small sound of pleasure and a comfortable sigh. "Ugh, I have so many questions! One- does that mean your a morning person? Two- what do you like to sketch? Three- what do you usually order for dinner? Just trying to take advantage of the few minutes we have together."
"Alright, so my day off. Let's see. I sleep in until my dogs wake me up because they need to go out. So I take them out, obviously that's first, my neighbors are well aware of my bed head and pjs look. Then I shower, eat breakfast which is usually cold cereal. A bacon egg and cheese bagel sounds way better! Occasional gaming with friends, or days at the park with the dogs, I once even did Sea World by myself. It was way less fun." He said with a guilty laugh.

"Honestly yeah I am a morning person, not that I wont lay in bed for a little bit and cuddle, but I like to get myself awake otherwise I just slump through the day. I like to sketch people and animals, interesting people. I usually like chinese food, orange Tso's or sesame chicken, though im a slave to fried rice. I sometimes grab fast food too, Taco bell is a savior." She laughed a bit. "I cannot cook to save my life so."
"Ok I am a sucker for dogs, what kind and what names. I want to get chinchillas eventually. I like it, you sound easygoing. We could have a ton of fun together. If you had to pick like one or two favorite moves, what would they be?"

"So you must be the ultimate people watcher?" Penn said with a smile. "I love people watching, but to fair I don't think I've met anyone who doesn't like it." He admitted.
"Oh man, I can't cook either, I hate it. I can cook anything boxed to a mediocre degree but anything more is out of my wheelhouse. I guess it's either take out or mac n cheese for us...or lessons." He said with a laugh.
"One of my friends had a couple of chinchillas! They were crazy soft! My pups are both tiny little mutts, I'm not really sure what they are, some sort of chihuahua mix I think. Their names are Luke and Han. You know, I think we'd have a lot of fun together too." He said with a pause.
"That's tough, but Avengers End Game was awesome! I love movies though. What about you?"

"We shall be the ultimate takeout couple. Don't worry, I know the best chinese places." she said with a chuckle. "I want two black velvet mutations or a black one a gold bar.. whiteish yellow. I just like em so much. However, I totally want dogs too, I like small ones, big ones. I am gonna pet your dogs, It's happening."
"Ok so mine is a little weird. Sala Samobójców.. It's polish, but super good. Though if I had to pick.. I'm gonna say White Chicks...don't you dare end this date here." There was a laugh from her side.

Penn laughed a loud and joyous laugh and there was the sound of a pillow thumping against one of the side walls as he tossed it. "Oh man! I haven't seen that movie in ages!" He said, breathless from laughter. "I'm gonna have to go watch it again, that movie is pretty dang funny. My guilty pleasure movie is Step Brothers." He told her, recovering from the laughter.
"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere. And I know my dogs would love all the attention you want to give them." He told her.
"So tell me, what are you looking to get out of this? What are you looking for in your future husband? Or very soon to be husband if this all works out?" He asked.

"Oh thank god we're gonna be movie buddies, I know a lot of bad movies that I neeed to watch with someone. Also watch it! I can throw a pretty mean pillow!" She laughed as she tossed one of the pillows at the glass. "That was my leg pillow, I will now suffer because I have cuddled up into a blanket burrito and I refuse to move."
"Honestly I struggle with Anxiety a lot in my daily life, everyones got their own baggage and I certainly have mine. I want someone that I can feel complete with, after a long day curl up on their chest and just kinda know things are ok, hold him on his bad days too. I want a partner, like I guess husband is the word, but I want a partner you feel? What about you?

Penn chuckled again. "Ahh, I'm sorry I lost you your pillow. I'd retrieve it for you if I could." He said smiling.
"Ya, I completely understand that. It's not unlike what I want. I want someone who I can feel comfortable with. I don't want to feel like either of us have to put on a show for the other. I don't need a woman to get all glammed up for me. I'm all about hanging out in our comfy lounge clothes and just enjoy being together. There are times when my work can get a little demanding, lots of hours, and I need to know that my wife will be okay without me. That she can be her own person but still want to be with me when we can. I don't want to feel like my wife's second choice over her friends or something. Does that make sense?"

"I totally get that, I wont lie I can probably be clingy as far as I would wanna spend time with my partner, but they are their own person, they have their own things to do as well. I'm.. actually planning on entering the police academy eventually so I kinda get the idea of needing your partner to be ok on their own." She gave a small chuckle, one of content more than anything. "I want someone that I don't have to pretty up for.. like I work at a bar, I put makeup on all the time for shifts..I wanna be able to roll out of bed look a mess and be told I'm fine. I want to give my partner that too, Relaxation and comfort is key to happiness I think."

"So. I've never..actually dated anyone.. yes you may cringe.. I've seen a lot of bad in life, my birth mom probably impacted a lot of that.. My no-no's are gonna sound really basic.. Do not abuse me, physically emotionally mentally, however ya know. Do not cheat on me, and don't lie to me, now I get keeping something a secret or a little exaggeration... but being dishonest is kinda a pet peeve.. Also I am not wearing pants all the time. Someone who makes me is the devil... What about you?"

Penn laughed. "I'm sure no one would complain about good looking butts." He said with a catcalling whistle.
"No, those are all important things, I totally get it." he said encouragingly. "And I promise to never force you to wear pants." he chuckled softly. "I'll be honest, that's pretty hot actually." he added.
"I've dated a bit but not a lot. I was in one serious relationship and she cheated on me during the time I was finishing up my Masters and was really busy studying. She eventually married that man. It...stung." He paused and cleared his throat. "So obviously something like cheating is not okay, but it's why I need someone who can be a little patient. I don't know if I'll ever be quite that busy again, but I don't want to fear losing someone because of something I have little control over..."

There was a knock at the door signaling the end of their date which got a groan from her.
