You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)
Occupation
Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse
Hobbies/Passions

"Oh a challenge! I like your style!" Parker was excited to meet this girl right off the bat. He paused for a moment, sipped his glass of wine. "Ummm... it's... yellow!" he said, with confidence. "Thank you architecture school!"
"Ok so umm... I need a riddle too, wow I'm smiling so much right now. I'll tell you my name if you can tell me what you can hold in your left hand but not in your right hand." Parker asked, definitely excited to play along.

"Ooh a riddle for me now? Hmm. You can hold your right hand in your left hand, but not your right hand, am I right? I'll give you a second chance to guess for me." She chuckled again.

"Oh god, now I'm actually embarrassed, I was so sure I knew the color wheel! I guess I'm rustier than I thought. But yeah you're right. I'm Parker." Parker said with a sheepish laugh.
"Ummm corn, which is yellow. I promise I'm not colorblind. And my cheeks are like pink or something now. There's not actually a mirror here but I'm pretty sure. I like your laugh though, it's cute."

"Huh, I guess you're right about that. I like that out of the box outlook," Parker mused. "I like games but only games with something at stake. It doesn't have to be a big stake and it can totally be something silly, but I like having a sense of purpose. In college, we used to do bowling night, and the guy who came in last had to shave his beard. If he didn't have a beard he'd have to shave his eyebrows."

"Bet your beard huh? Did you have one then?" She paused for a moment to consider. "I had been in a sorority in college once, a time I regret. But then I had lost a bet that resulted in my wearing my bra on my head for all my classes the next day. Do not recommend."

"Unfortunately not at the time, so yeah I once did go a week without eyebrows," Parker said with an easy laugh. "It was embarrassing the time, but now it's just a great life lesson that betting eyebrows isn't actually that bad. I promise I have my eyebrows now."
"Umm for aspirations, not really. I like to live in the moment and right now I think I've hit most of my life goals. I love what I do for work and I get to travel all the time and explore new things. I can't really ask for anything else, besides maybe someone to share it with." Parker mused.

Oof, Parker certainly hadn't meant to put her on the spot like that, that gave his confidence a little hit. "Well, I travel for a living. I'm a travel blogger, mostly writing about old buildings and history and stuff. I used to be an architect, it wasn't as fun as I thought it would be."
Time for a subject change.
"It sounds like you're following your dreams too! What type of shop do you own?" Parker asked.

"That sounds like so much fun! I really admire that. I haven't been to Zambia, but I've seen a lot of really cool flowers while out and about." Parker said, awed. "I wish I could take you to the Netherlands to see all the flower fields, I think you'd really like that. The Amsterdam Tulip Festival is probably one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. There was like every color I could ever imagine, but flowers." Parker smiled at the memory, "What got you into flowers?"

"Oh gosh that would be a dream. I would love to see such a thing. I'm not entirely sure how I got in to flowers. I like to think it had something to do with spending so much time outside in the dirt with my brothers. I'm a bit of a tomboy. Okay, a lot of a tomboy." She laughed.

"A tomboy that sells flowers, I wouldn't have guessed, but I'm not surprised," Parker said thoughtfully. "If mother nature loves you, you gotta embrace that. I like the sea. This might sound kinda weird but I really like the smell of the salty air. It's just really refreshing. Also I'm kinda a geek for how people used to deal with the changing tide levels and sea levels. Ok so for you, kissing in the snow or kissing in the rain?

"Spicy all the way! My favorite food is spicy food, but it's got to have good flavor too, not just burn your face off spicy." Parker said. "Thunderstorms are super cool, I love seeing thunderstorms during sunset, but like when you can see the sunset right there next to the thunderstorm. I wouldn't go out in it though," he said thoughtfully. "So what foods do you like to eat?"
