You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)
Occupation
Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse
Hobbies/Passions

- Posts are limited to 150 words! The idea is to give your characters a little taste but leave them wanting MORE!

"Hey Speyeria! That's a cool name! I'm Percy." Percy said warmly. "Ummm I really love rocky beaches. Not like the ones in California or Florida, but like the cool cliffside beaches where I can just like be ya know. Those places are inspiring." He hoped that wasn't too cheesy or weird sounding. "What about you?"

"So one of my favorite childhood memories is back in Tennessee, sometimes you could see the thunderstorms in the distance so my sisters and I would go get the camp chairs out of the garage and set them up on the porch and watch them until we got wet." Percy said with a sheepish chuckle. Either that would come across as sweet or really weird.
"I think a perfect date would involve music, and dancing, but not like a club or something. Something classier than that, like slow dancing at a live show. Shit I'm blushing now. Sorry I'm kinda cheesy sometimes." Percy knew he was a hopeless romantic at heart, which was rather embarassing sometimes.

"I'm afraid I have two left feet when it comes to dancing, and I definitely avoid clubs. I'd be happy to just spend a quiet evening at home. Though a visit to a national park to walk and explore would be nice too."

"Quiet evening at home, now that sounds like my kind of night. To be honest, that's kinda most of my free nights. I'm always in the studio or home with my cats." Percy agreed, glad that he had finally met a girl that wasn't a party girl. "I'm a homebody when I get the choice, I just didn't think any girl would be down for that. Like I wouldn't be trying to get a girl to come over for a hookup or something, I'd just have dessert for dinner and maybe play some music for her." he admitted.

"I think it's easier to get to know each other when we're alone, not in a busy crowded place where people are watching or can interrupt," Percy said. "So I have seven cats, and most are rescues but two are Maine coons, one is a munchkin, and one is a Russian blue, the rest I can't tell." That was always a fact that was super hit or miss, so Percy said that with much caution.

"Well originally, I only had five, then my grandpa passed away and left me his house and two cats, so now I have seven," Percy said, the affection for his cats obvious in his voice. "The munchkin is pretty special, she was a rescue from a kitten mill so she's got all sorts of weird issues, like she's allergic to cats. Her name is Muffin. I kinda have a collection of cats that people consider broken. The Russian blue is named Tripod because he only has three legs. Misa was found after she got hit by a car, she has a crooked leg, half a tail, and her tongue hangs out because her jaw healed funny. Oh and Captain only has one eye. Sorry I hope I'm not boring you to death just talking about my cats." Percy said sheepishly.

"They sound adorable. If we ever meet face to face, you'd better share some pictures. I've never heard of a cat allergic to other cats, do you have to keep her separated from the others? Or shaven? What about the rest of the cats? What other special needs might they have? It must take a lot of your extra time."

"Oh the other ones are pretty normal. I inherited Rowena and Cedric from my grandfather when he passed. I think that's why he left me the house. Eloise is a 25lb Maine coon, she was my first cat and she's the queen of the entire house. I've had her for 9 years." Percy said loosening up a bit, if there was something he was comfortable talking about, it was his cats. "Muffins just gets allergy medicine and sniffles a bit. She's a pretty special one."

"Well I tried fostering and that definitely fed into how I ended up with seven cats," Percy said with a laugh. "Captain winked at me with his one eye and I never let him go after that. Maybe it's love at first sight, maybe I'm just a total sucker for toe beans and whiskers."

"Yeah I think I just get too attached too quickly. My little sister is living in my house right now with them. She can't have pets in her apartment so she's around a lot. We work together too, so we're close. Technically my whole family works together I guess." Percy said with a fond chuckle, "So what do you love doing?"

"I own a flower shop. When I'm not working on floral arrangements I like to relax at home with video games or have some friends over. I know, it sounds so exciting, but I don't need fancy dates and big parties to have a good time. Even this was pleasant. I've enjoyed getting to know about your cats." Her tone was genuine.

"My whole family is really really dramatic and they drive me crazy a lot, but I still love them and I like to think the drama comes from a good place," Percy said with a chuckle. "I think you're really cool Speyeria, my cats would like you, especially if you grow catnip in that flower shop of yours."

"Maybe not catnip, but I do carry cat grass and cat mint, which has a pretty flower and drives cats crazy, at least from what I'm told. Tell you what, you stop by the shop when this is over, and I'll give you an entirely cat safe bouquet, on me."
"I enjoyed my time talking with you, and I hope we'll get a chance at a second date. Talk to you again soon." She'd leave the pod after anything else he'd have to say. This had gone well.
