(Just so we don't have two convos at once while they're far away from each other, this takes place right after the pods when some (or all) of the the guys go out to the pool area. I believe Alex Knight was the first to jump in. Percy is on his way out and Dean Baelish and come gush hahaha) Percy grabbed a towel off the rack and set it next to the hot tub. He folded his robe neatly on the lounge chair. Percy was always well prepared and he set down a plate of shrimp and lettuce wraps, a bottle of wine, and a full wine glass on the edge of the hot tub before getting in. "Lots to think about, might as well think about it here," he said.

Dean had gone to change into his swim suit, light blue surf trunks with pink flamingos that went to his mid thigh. "How the water Alex?!" he called to the fully clothed Alex Knight as he came outside. He had a bottle of beer and went straight for the hot tub, stepping into the heated warm with a relaxed sigh. Percy laughed and sipped his wine, "I don't think I have butterflies yet, but I might have some caterpillars if that's what smiles mean, making my list wasn't hard at all but if I had to pick a favorite I couldn't. You're lucky you felt butterflies that fast with one person. Not to step on toes, but Lainey was pretty cool, she used to play the violin so we connected on that. River, Cleo, and Speyeria are all bookish homebodies like me and I know that's super surface level so I want to get to know them more and dig deeper," he mused. Dean gave a little coy smile when Percy West mentioned Lainey. "Honestly I was surprised. I didn't expect to it to happen, it just...did. And hey, I have no idea how she really felt. To tell the truth, leaving our date it was one of my first thoughts that there would likely be lots of guys who connected with her. I mean, who couldn't? She's great!" He said. "But don't get me wrong. I will fight you for her." He added with a cheeky grin. "Ya, those were exactly the kids of girls that I didn't really connect with." he said with a little chuckle. "I don't mean that someone has to like every single thing I do, Lainey didn't, but I think they were a little too much of homebodies for me. Seems we at least have that set us apart I guess." he said, taking a sip of his beer. "Damn! You have seven cats?!" He asked incredulously. |

"Well my dude, if you think you found the one, I'll be cheering you on. Plus I don't think I could win that fight," Percy said with a light laugh, "And yes, I am the proud single father to seven incredible cats. There's not a lot I ask for in a woman, but being a cat person is a bit of a requirement. Also if we get married, ideally she'd move in with me, I really like my house."
He laid back in the hot tub, "I can see that with common interests, I think having some differences would be good so you can learn from each other, but if a lady needs to be out and about all the time or doing athletic stuff, I'd be a disappointment in that department. Give me a fireplace, a book, and seven cats any day. I think I'm in the right place to find that woman."

"Waters just fine man!" Alex dove into the water of the pool and surfaced again. "..You have seven cats... That sounds kinda cool honestly..I'm getting an animal after this, I need a friend at home" He laughed and swam around a bit. "I didn't connect well with Gem... Shaan and I got into a wine chugging contest but it wasn't there... Wasn't there with Lainey either so you've got zero to worry on. Cleo and Val though... I like em a lot."

Percy chuckled at Dean's comment, "I thought we were hoping to have a wife after this, but I do wholeheartedly recommend also getting a cat. Yiikes, Casa la Percy is going to be a full house if I add a wife and then if she wants kids... and what if she also already has a pet? Gonna need a bigger bed..." "Isn't in crazy? In a month we could be living with someone and getting married and all that!"

Dean took another few sips while he listened, shaking his head in wonder a bit at the image of so many cats in one house...and all that hair... "Ya, there do definitely seem to be a lot of ladies who are on the more chill side, you might just have the pick of the litter." He said to Percy West with sly grin. "Pun intended." He moved from the hot tub and sat at the edge of the pool, his feet in the water, between the two other guys while they chatted. "Cleo and Val, huh?" He asked Alex Knight. "They are nothing alike, at least from what I got. What was it about those two?" |

"Hey I would be fine to have someone move in.. Or to move somewhere else I really don't care." He laughed a bit.
"They are nothing at all alike, they're the opposite ends and that's kinda what I like. Cleo seems very soft and polite, but you can tell she wants to have some fun, theres so much under there. Val has grit and life to her, she's fun but theres more than just that.. I dunno I just felt that spark with them"

"Huh, very interesting indeed. I guess they have a point here about how the experiment would break our usual types," Percy said with a good natured shrug. "I wonder what some of the ladies look like, they all sound like they'd be really nice and pretty." He paused.
"I think the hardest part for me is that so many of you guys have really strong favorites and I'm not there yet with anyone. I mean there are definitely girls I like more than others and I feel great connections with them, but not fireworks or butterflies yet. Love at first voice or whatever we'd call it." He looked over to Dean, "Would you say that fireworks and butterflies feel the same?"

Dean shrugged. "I think that it really depends on the person. I think some people might describe them as the same and others would describe them differently." He paused thinking. "I don't know if I've ever felt 'butterflies' before, I'd classify what I feel right as a 'spark' which is I guess is closer to fireworks?" He said with a little laugh. "Does it matter if there is a difference?" He asked Percy West. |
