PERSONALITY
Dislikes: Olives, Humidity, Sodas, Horror Movies, Watching Sports, Public Transportation, Loud Noises, Picnics (ants everywhere), Bugs, Clowns, Heights, Rude customers, Animal Abusers, Long Runs, Bussell Sprouts, Walnuts, Super Spicy Foods, Sand, Wasting Things, Laziness.
General personality: Overall, Vanessa comes off laidback but has a flare for the dramatics. Usually, she is pretty docile and unconfrontational when you first meet her as she knows what it takes to make a wrong impression. As a result, some might argue that she’s a bit shy or a tough nut to crack, which isn’t all that true. After one gets to know her a bit, she opens up quite a bit, and tends to take on a more lively, friendly nature that can be seen while among her closest of friends. Vanessa is known for bottling things up as well; if someone is critiquing her or her decision, she’ll hang onto those thoughts for a while until something else pushes her over the edge. Only then does she have an explosive personality that one would likely want to avoid.
She also has a very nurturing side to her as well, which she currently reflects onto her the cats in the café. She can be overly sensitive at times, especially when it comes to letting the animals go into their forever home; it doesn’t take much for her to get attached to animals as well as people. As a result, some might call her clingy and needy.
Once she feels comfortable in a relationship, she has the need to spice things up in order to keep themselves from falling into the same lull as she did with her past relationship. While this might bring out an adventurous, spontaneous side in her, it might come in the form of self-created fights. If she feels things are going too slowly or start getting boring, she isn’t above calling her boyfriend out on not doing the dishes or giving her enough attention.
Lastly, Vanessa is very smart; she can be very quick-witted and can solve problems as soon as they come to her. Not only is she book smart but living in New York has given her a sense of awareness that can be gain from being tricked one too many times. As such, she can usually pick up when someone is trying to deceive her.

HISTORY
Family Members:
Mal-Chin Kim: 51; Korean; Anesthesiologist
Hei-Ran Kim: 46; Korean; Unemployed
General History: Vanessa was born on August 10th, 1995 to immigrant parents in San Diego, California. Her parents met while her father was in med school with the pursuit to become an anesthesiologist and her mother was finishing her last semester in college, pursuing an education degree. After a few months of dating and the blessings from their perspective families, the two of them got married and had Vanessa one year later. Her mother – although a graduate – did not become an educator like she anticipated. Rather, she stayed home so that she could raise their daughter.
Growing up, she had a relatively lavish lifestyle. Her father had a high paying position and the family could afford to buy her anything they wanted. Naturally, she instilled a sense of entitlement in Vanessa at a young age. However, she eventually grew out of it as she got older and the people she was surrounded by did not seem to be fazed by the family’s moderate wealth.
In high school, she made above-average grades, due to her parents’ stereotypical distaste for grades below an A. As a result, she graduated second in her class and attended college at Columbia University, where she enrolled in the Business department. Vanessa attended college there for four years and graduated with summa cum laude honors.
Despite having job offers in New York upon graduation, she moved back to San Diego, where she opened her own business with funding provided from her father. Using her business expertise, she operates her own cat café by the name of Purrrfect Sip, which houses rescued cats available for play and adoption. The café sells the typical coffee house items but also makes and sells milk and fruit teas, with homemade tapioca and flavored bursting pearls and flavored jellies. Currently, she lived in an apartment over her café, where she has two cats of her own.

ROMANCE
What brought you to this experience? Curiosity, mostly. I want to know if love can be blind.
What are you most looking for in a spouse? Patience. I’ve been known to test that with previous relationships. I would also like someone who is has a decent sense of humor, but sensitive to the PC culture. And there then are the obvious answers: kindness, maturity, honesty, and respect. Someone who is spontaneous would be wonderful as well.
What are your relationship pet peeves? Unreliability, evasiveness, disloyalty, comparing and talking about exes, selfishness, laziness, overbearing … that’s just to name a few.
Romantic History: There’s not much to her romantic history. In school, she dated a couple of boys, who then proceed to dump her in favor of other girls in their high school. This instilled a sense of distrust in relationships that stuck with her to this day. In college, Vanessa attended Columbia University, where she had a couple of flings with men in her co-ed dorms or in her department; again, nothing too serious but she did lose her virginity in her sophomore year to a boy in her dorm. She had sex with a total of five men while in school, none of which ever began full-fledged boyfriends.
After school, she dated two other men. When she was twenty-one, she dated a man she met on Tinder, which lasted five months. This ended with infidelity on both sides of the relationship. She moved back to Georgia after the end of this relationship. The second man, she met on Bumble when she was twenty-two (she clearly likes her dating apps); this relationship lasted for year. The two moved in together but ultimately broke up due to a lull in their relationship, which included falling into a boring routine and a sheer lack of excitement. They remain friends to this day.
