First dates have been completed and they went well for some people and not so well for others. You submitted your list to The Producers of the top 4-5 people that you wanted to see again and The Producers organized dates as accordingly as they could. If there was someone you missed out on, there will be chances in the future.
The second round of dates will be twice as long as the first. You will have 4-5 dates total this round. For the second dates you are given full freedom to use your creative/romantic juices! If you want to provide food for your date, or a game, or basically anything you can think of then please free to do so, The Producers will provide what you need! The only rules are that you have to stay in your own pods. No seeing each other, no touching. So have at it and have fun!
RULES - Remember to keep physical descriptions out of your conversations. - Each person gets only 20 posts in this thread! - Posts are limited to 300 words!
Will your connections grow stronger today or will you cross another name off your list of possibilities? !
This date is for Blake Carson & River Hughes!
What did you do to make this date special? Anything?

Blake got to the pod early, or as early as he could get there. He had production set up a little table for River and on it she'd find a silver platter with a tray, with a tall glass of cold milk. If she opened the lid she'd find fresh banana bread that had been heated up with a few slices cut and a side of butter.
Once she came in Blake would call out to her. "I know you like banana bread, so I want your opinion on my mine." He told her with a smile. "How's your day been River?"

River took a deep breath of the banana bread smell and sighed happily.
"Better, now that there's banana bread! I'll be honest, this whole thing is making me really anxious. Um, what did you call it? Nervousconstilitis? It's definitely a flare-up." She laughed a little.
"It's not quite banana bread, but I did have them put something in your room, too!" She told him. On the side table, Blake would find a CD audiobook of Frankenstein, and a very early 2000s looking portable CD player with headphones.
"It took me a while to come up with something good, but since Frankenstein was a medical student before he became a mad scientist, I thought this one might be fun! Plus, I had them find an audio version since you said you were a little burned out on reading. The staff wasn't very happy about that since they don't want us to have anything with wi-fi..."
She was quiet for a moment as she munched on the banana bread. "Ok, the banana bread is also amazing, of course. Thank you!"

"Well I'm glad your better. And I really am a doctor if you need help. Anxiety ain't fun, but I'm willing to help try and alleviate it." He told her.
Blake glanced over and saw the audio CD's and laughed when he saw the CD player. "They should have just told me to bring mine in!" He laughed. "I still have my Dinosaur. Even has a Lisa Frank sticker on it from when I was a kid next to my Raptour one." He told her. "Thank you River that was very sweet." He smiled.
He chuckled. "I'm glad you like it." He told her. "You said you liked it so I couldn't pass the opportunity up." He confessed.

"Mmm, no kidding though, this tastes like my childhood. My mom used to bake it for breakfast on my birthday when I was really little, and dad kept up the tradition after she passed away," River explained. "Once I got my first apartment, I started making it a lot more often, like once a month at least. Like, a soon as I had an oven I was like--it's time. I usually bring it to work with me and leave it in the office area so that the other librarians can help me eat it--I can't finish two loaves on my own." She laughed.
As far as the CD player, I don't have mine anymore, but I did manage to hang on to my chunky old iPod nano for an embarrassingly long time! I got the pink one and I was sooooo excited."

"That's actually really awesome. I nice tradition too, I like that." He told her. "Since I moved around a lot I didn't have many things, but I did have my CD player and CD organizer for all my CD's. When My foster parents asked what I wanted for Christmas, I always told them to get me CD's or new headphones when I broke my old pair. I was very protective of that thing, I once punched my foster Brother for almost dumping it in the toilet." He laughed. "I got in trouble of course, but like...It was mine, and yeah..." He laughed a bit nervously. Scratching the back of his head.
"Music was my escape from reality, where books were yours." He told her.

"I don't encourage punching people, usually, but it sounds like he may have earned it," River replied gently, "I can imagine how something that was really yours in such an ever-changing world would be a comfort. It makes sense that you'd be protective of it."
"Were you in the foster system until you aged out of it?" she asked quietly, "It can't have been easy."
"Oh, that reminds me," she added, "I don't think I got a chance to answer you before, about adopting. I would absolutely adopt children, or foster them; I think people who contribute like that are really amazing."

"I was nine." He laughed. "Yeah you're right." He said."Yup. Went in at two, didn't come out until I was considered an adult." He told her. "A lot of places were okay, but others really shouldn't have been foster homes to begin with. But I was a resilient kid and survived." He confessed.
"That's good to hear." He chuckled. "I've actually thought about fostering myself first to see if I would even be good at being a dad. It takes some special kind of people to be foster parents." He explained.

"No kidding! And I'm glad you had some good ones at least. It's a shame that there are so many children who have bad experiences in foster care; they're already coming from such difficult circumstances, on top of being children, they obviously deserve a safe and comfortable place to live and grow up." She laughed a little, "But, I suppose I'm preaching to the choir."
"I'm curious, though. What would you say is...well, the dream, for marriage? Like, when you imagine the future, what do you want it to look like?"
