Second Date - Hugh & Shaan

Penn let out an approving whoop when Shaan said she didn't like s'mores either. "I definitely agree. Each of the components are better on their own than together. Maybe we could have our own private bonfire, no s'mores, just snacks." he said with a little laugh.

He laughed at her assumption of him. "You really think so?" He asked surprised. "Honestly not at all. At parties I tend to hover near the edges and try to chat with people over the noise. I like small gathering best. One on one only if I'm really comfortable with someone, otherwise it's too awkward for my own comfort."

Penn laughed too. "Oh man! That would be...sticky." He laughed again. "Okay, here's the deal though. If you get marshmallow on me then you have to lick it off." He said with flirty tease.

"I don't think it sounds self absorbed. I think a lot of people worry about what other people think. I do. I worry people will look at me with my two tiny doggos and think I'm not very manly." he chuckled.

"Go to drink. Vanilla coke. All the way. I don't drink a lot but when I do it's usually just a simple beer or wine depending on the situation."

"Ah man! Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the dogs again." he said jokingly. "Stealing my limelight. Every time." He laughed.

"Alright hold on, let me take some notes on this. 'How to get Shaan drunk 101'." he teased playfully. "It's crazy we have so much in common, even if it's little stuff. We'll have a vanilla coke, no s'mores party together."

”Oh we should definitely fix that.” Penn said with returning flirtation. ”Sounds like my kind of date. Video games with my girl, just having a fun time.”

There was a soft noise of agreement from his side of the pod. ”Well then there will certainly need to be a third date. I’ve had a really great time with you.”

Penn chuckled at her comment about keeping her hands to herself. "Don't worry, not a requirement." he teased.

"Ew gross! Who puts ketchup on rice!? Do you know people who do that? That's disgusting!" He made a 'bleh' noise.

"So without getting negative marks for that...I'm really looking forward to getting to know you even better." He said with a smile in his voice.

"Don't worry, definitely safe from that." He said with a chuckle.

"It's so crazy how intense this whole thing is, and how much and how quickly you can learn about a person when there is nothing else to distract you. I like cream and lots of sugar." he chuckled again. "I told you I had a sweet tooth. So are you someone who needs your coffee every morning before you can function?" He asked with a smile in his voice. "I probably only have it once or twice a week myself."

"Falling in love is definitely an exciting time. I think that love changes over time and I can only hope that I find someone with who falling in love isn't the best time of our relationship." He said with a little chuckle.

"My idea of a perfect date..." He said. "Man, I don't really know. I think it depends on the girl, because if it's perfect for me but not for her then it wouldn't be fun regardless of how much I like the activity, you know? I guess if I had to choose and if she would like it as well...then it would be a movie theater marathon day. Head to the theater, see a bunch of movies back to back, snack on popcorn and candy, take a break for lunch and then go somewhere fun for dinner." he said with almost a question at the end.

"What about you?"

"Well that's good, because admittedly I can be a big baby when I get sick." He said with a little laugh. "But I agree, being able to be at your worst most vulnerable self with the one you love and still be fully accepted is so important."

He laughed as she did. "Not at all. I'm not really picky either. As long as I'm not expected to go do something or crazy or party hard core every single weekend then I'm pretty chill with whatever. It's absolutely more about the company than the activity."

Penn exhaled softly. "I'm really, really glad you felt comfortable enough to talk to me about it." He told her.

"First, black definitely counts as a color. Own it." He said with a little chuckle. "My favorite color is also red actually, basically any red as long as it doesn't look pink."

He made a little groaning noise. "I hate that we are running of time. I've having too much fun with you. Third date?" He asked.
