First dates have been completed and they went well for some people and not so well for others. You submitted your list to The Producers of the top 4-5 people that you wanted to see again and The Producers organized dates as accordingly as they could. If there was someone you missed out on, there will be chances in the future.
The second round of dates will be twice as long as the first. You will have 4-5 dates total this round. For the second dates you are given full freedom to use your creative/romantic juices! If you want to provide food for your date, or a game, or basically anything you can think of then please free to do so, The Producers will provide what you need! The only rules are that you have to stay in your own pods. No seeing each other, no touching. So have at it and have fun!

Penn was looking forward to this date with Shaan Vladislav and had set up something special for her. She was his first date of the day so he had opted for breakfast food. A couple of bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches. One had regular bacon and the other had turkey bacon, not wanting to make her feel sick. There was a mimosa and a bottle of orange juice beside an empty glass so she could choose what she wanted to drink as well as a bowl of mixed fruit. The room had been decorated around the edges with paper leaves, vines, and trees to look like a jungle and there were several small stuffed chinchillas in various places around the room. |

There was shriek of joy as the door opened and the sounds of rustling. "PENN ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" She shouted in joy. "Ok this is actually amazing.. Bacon egg and cheese bagels.. Alcohol AND chinchillas. Im in love." There was a laugh from her side and a groan of bliss. "Oh god this one has turkey bacon.. You remembered!" There was a delighted humming for a moment. "So.. You're the first guy ever to do something like this for me.. Thank you, really thank you."

Penn laughed delightedly as she shouted joyfully. "Of course I remembered." he told her with a chuckle. "You're very welcome, Shaan. I had a really amazing time with you yesterday and I am very much looking forward to spending more time with you today. I have to admit that it's my guess there are several guys who have you at the top of their lists, you're a pretty amazing woman." He told her honestly.
"I couldn't help but imagine what life would be like with you. Chilling in our pjs on the couch, watching some silly show, eating take out, the chinchillas nestled inside our hoodies and the dogs snoozing at our feet. I don't know about you, but it sounds perfect to me." He chuckled a little and then cleared his throat a little nervously.
"So what should we chat about today? What are you dying to know?" He asked with a smile in his voice.

"Im really really glad you feel that way.. Honestly I was really happy to know I was getting another date with you.. Honestly? I thought I connected well with a few people but I guess not.. Does it sound terrible to say I was only happy about two of my dates today and one was you. Trust me theres no Shaan fan club out there." She laughed, genuinely amused.
"Ok that pretty much sounds like paradise. One condition.. I get to nest in that spot under your arm. You know the spot. Im calling dibs on it" She laughed a bit and there was a content sigh. "I'm really glad I've gotten to meet you."
"Hmm.. What kind of chocolate do you like if any. Im a fan of dark chocolate.. Start this off with an easy go... Unless youve got some burning questions." There was a teasing tone in her voice.

"Well I'm sorry you weren't happy about more of your dates, but I'm definitely happy to know that I'm one of the one you are happy about it! I'm definitely happy about it too." He said. "And maybe I'll kick myself for giving you hope about other guys but just because you didn't get dates with some of the others guys doesn't necessarily mean you weren't on their list. It's only day two after all." He said encouragingly. "Still...I'm really lucky you're here with me." He told her.
"Alright, alright. Hold on. One sec." He said when she called dibs. There was the sound of his steps as he moved around the room and then of a lid being pulled off a marker. "Alright, I have a marker. Let me just save that spot for you." He said as there was the sound of fabric as he lifted up his shirt. "S.H.A.A.N. There! Your spot has been officially dibbed." He said popping the lid back on the marker. "Consider it done milady!" He said in a playful gallant voice.
"Oh nice, are you picky about your dark chocolate? Like a certain percentage or brand? I'm a sucker for sea salt chocolate...or sea salt caramel covered in chocolate. What is it about salt that makes it so dang good?!"

"Honestly it doesn't bother me that much, I'm just happy that I was on someones list ya know? I'm happy I got a second date with you especially, and not getting picked by some of the other guys kinda just made me take a step back and think and really.. I don't see as much compatibility." There was a chuckle from her side. "I'm happy to be here, believe me."
"Yes! Take that I have my very own spot!" There was a delighted clap and laughter. "Alright it's only fair, you may have one shaan spot to dibs, use it well. Who knows if you keep this up..you may even be allowed to call me by my nickname."
"Not picky at all, I just tend to favor dark to milk, too muck milk chocolate makes me feel sick. Oooh I could maybe forgive milk if it was salted..I haven't tried that yet but it sounds really really good."
"Hmmm.. any deep dark secrets I should know?"

"Oooh, you have a nickname?!" He said with interest excitement. "Well now I definitely want to know! New goal: Shaan's nickname." he said with a laugh.
"Alright, let's see! What spot do I want to claim. I better choose wisely." He pondered for a moment. "I know, I claim the spot just behind and below your ear for me to nuzzle into and kiss." He said, clearly proud of this choice. "Yep, that's the one I want."
"Oooo, deep dark secrets huh? Let's see." He hummed in thought for a moment. "Alright, about to get a bit...real here for a moment. So I do have a bit of ... fear about all of this. I guess fear is the best word. I was in one serious relationship several years ago. We dated for about two years, I thought I'd marry here, but during my Master year of college things got really busy and I guess she was feeling neglected, but I never realized. She ended up cheating me and eventually married that guy. On top of that, my mom had a habit of..." he paused, thinking how to describe it, "running away. She would randomly up and leave us all without a word. Sometimes she was gone for a few hours, sometimes over night, more than once for a few days, and once for several weeks. I guess I look at my parent's marriage which always seemed good to me and the way she would leave and I wonder if..." he trailed off and cleared his throat. "I guess I have some... abandonment issues to some extent..."
He cleared his throat again. "I have a lot of hope for this whole thing, but I feel like it's only fair for me to be honest about my past and concerns."

There was a laugh from her "It shall be the next goal. Only my grandma calls me by it so thats how you know youre in!

"Well let me tell ya..We may just be perfect for eachother.. I know ive said I never dated..but thats more than just dates.. Ive never held hands with.. Or much less kissed anyone Ive also never slept with anyone." There was a slightly awkward laugh. "This entire thing..is a world of firsts for me..but I can solidly say Im going to be serious about who I end up with."
"My mom was killed..From what I gather it was a...client... Of hers I was found a few days later clinging to hee body.. I was a toddler.. I don't remember much about it.. From what my biological grandmother has told me it was pretty likely she would have sold me for drugs or to someone.. Not much of a loss but.. I understand the abandonment issues.. That whole thing is kinda why im also.. Kinda scared of having kids? I know I wont be a thing like her but its still jarring "
She cleared her throat. "I promise.. Even if this ends up not ending in marriage.. Im always here for you Penn. Friend or lover you can count on me."

"Did you really write that?!" Penn asked with surprised laughter. "Your claimed spot is hidden on me at least." He said, continuing to laugh. "You're crazy...crazy cool." He said before things settled into more seriousness.
There were a few moments of silence before Penn responded and when he did his voice was thick was emotion. "Wow, I... can't even imagine what that must be like for, Shaan." he said, followed by a soft sniff. "I don't blame you for being scared of that or struggling in any another way after going through something like that." There was another long pause as his mind imagined what that scene would have been like.
"Thank you for sharing that with me, I'm sure that's not the easiest thing to tell people. And I'll always be there for you too, Shaan. Regardless of how this all turns out, I want to know I'm someone who you can depend on. I think you're incredibly brave for being here too." He told her. "I'm a better person already for having met you." The sound of a smile starting to return to his voice.

"Hey I live for the rush! I have decently long hair so if I was that worried I can just cover it..nut I totally am not going to, I desire to make any others girls looking for your attention jealous." There was a mock evil laugh from her side. "Nah Im plain old vanilla bean crazy."
"Honestly I remember bits of it but not as much as you would think? Like I know what my issues and my baggage is.. It's just part of what made me who I am and I don't really wish it was different... It made me stronger, gave me some sort of drive to do some sort of good in the world." She spoke calmly and evenly.
"Well I figured it was kinda heavy for first date talk but should probably be slipped in before youre ready to propose ya know? I'm glad you feel that way, I'm happy I got the chance to meet you and to get to feel this way about a person, you're a really really special guy... Any other deep questions while we're out here spilling our guts?" There was a chuckle from her side.

Penn laughed at her evil laughter. "Oooo! Maniacal! Though I honestly would be surprised to find anyone fighting over a guy like me." He admitted. "Actually though, I was pretty surprised you didn't end up as most popular or something else. I was sure you'd be on the list somewhere." He told her.
"Well, you sure know how to make a guy feel good." He said softly when she called him special. "Alright, let's see, deep questions..what's your biggest fear? and...your biggest regret?" He asked.

"My biggest fear.. not being strong enough for something..Just being told that I for some reason am not enough..my biggest regret? My biggest regret is letting my past define me.. like I used to have a lot of anger and trust issues and I just really got over them, I know I missed out on a lot from it.. What about you annnd... "My biggest fear is...being abandoned, especially if I don't see it coming. I guess we covered that already. Also birds. Hate them." he added with a laugh. "My biggest regret, that one is harder. I like to say I wouldn't regret anything, because my past has made me what I am today. But I guess if I had to pick something...it would be the past few years after my breakup and taking so long to put myself out there again."
There was then the sound of him rubbing his hands together. "Secret guilty pleasure, that's fun. Let's think. It's probably...eating store bought frosting right out of the container with a spoon." He said with a laugh. "And yours?"

"Nope never had a lot of friends or really any close ones and I never was asked to a silly school dance or to a date. I wasn't the number one pick I guess." There was a laugh.
"Well I am neither a bird nor someone who gives up on things, so I would say we're good. I can understand that though, taking a while to put yourself out there. Especially after someone kinda broke your trust in things. I have no idea how I would get through something like that honestly.. You're a strong person."

"I have a major sweet tooth. So while delicious, yes, I'm sure my body doesn't really appreciate it." He said with a laugh.

"I actually have a huge sweet tooth..And just a junk food tooth.. I should be really fat." She chuckled
"So I dress in a lot of black and red, leather chains and all that.. the love of pink plush ruins the badass illusion. I refuse to let it be a dirty little secret, I look badass in these leather...b...booty...shorts I.. ya know what thats not a road we're going down." She burst out laughing.

Penn laughed softly as she fumbled. "You're not awkward, you're cute." he told her gently.
"Oh ya? Honestly that's really good to know. I have never quite jived with the health food nut types. Not that I judge people for wanting to eat healthy but, in my experience, they can be a bit of a...buzz kill." he said with a little guilty chuckle.
"Oh wow, do you really?! Well call me fascinated." he said with a smile in his voice. "I would love to see this look. I'm more of a t-shirt and jeans sort of guy."

"Im just not into it period.. Not that some of it isnt good but sometimes a girl just needs chicken tenders and fries. I figure Im pretty active so the bad food is a good balance. Do you have a go to "unhealthy" food or really a go to meal?"
"Trust me you'll get plenty of cool outfits to look at. I like a good tshirt and jeans too as long as its black." she laughed.

"Oh, that's a good question." Penn said thinking. "Pizza is my go to for a meal. For a snack, I usually grab some fruit snacks or ding dongs." He said.
"Oh, and roasted marshmallows are definitely a favorite of mine. Not s'mores. Just the marshmallow. I've been known to attend a beach party with a fire pit just so I had an excuse to roast marshmallows." He laughed.
"Okay, so I'm assuming your not a big crowd sort of person, tell me if I'm wrong. But between a big crowd, a small gathering of less than 10, one-on-one interactions, or spending some time alone, what is your preference?" He asked.
