First dates have been completed and they went well for some people and not so well for others. You submitted your list to The Producers of the top 4-5 people that you wanted to see again and The Producers organized dates as accordingly as they could. If there was someone you missed out on, there will be chances in the future.
The second round of dates will be twice as long as the first. You will have 4-5 dates total this round. For the second dates you are given full freedom to use your creative/romantic juices! If you want to provide food for your date, or a game, or basically anything you can think of then please free to do so, The Producers will provide what you need! The only rules are that you have to stay in your own pods. No seeing each other, no touching. So have at it and have fun!
RULES - Remember to keep physical descriptions out of your conversations. - Each person gets only 20 posts in this thread! - Posts are limited to 300 words!
Will your connections grow stronger today or will you cross another name off your list of possibilities? !

"Hey Lainey, if you look somewhere in that pod, there's a rented violin for you if you want to try to play," Percy said with a smile, "I've got mine too. Nothing makes my heart hurt more than someone who wants to play an instrument not being able to, and if you're rusty, I can coach you a little" he said.

If Percy looked to the side he'd find a folder filled with some sheet music. The first one on top being the Game of Thrones intro song, and a few others that Lainey had played a lot. The noticeable ones were the Devil went down to Georgia, The phantom of the opera, and We will Rock you by Queen.
When she came in she was caught off guard by the violin sitting on it's stand on the table. "Percy..." She gasped. She hurried over and snatched it up. "You're gonna make me cry! This is so thoughtful." She told him. She was grinning like a madwoman then. "You look around to my dude, There's a folder in there with sheet music from all the songs I used to play. And I might..." She turned and picked up the bow, giving the violin a quick test to make sure it was tuned before she nestled it under her chin and between her shoulder. Her left hand held the neck and rested against the strings before she she drew the bow across them. She watched her hands as she drew the bow back and forth in sharp jerks as the beginning of The Devil went down to Georgia sounded through the air. She paused thirty seconds in and was laughing. The glee was evident in her voice. "Oh yeah, I still got it. Not as fast as I once was but, oh yes. Still remember it like it was yesterday. What do you say Percy? want to kick my ass in a dual?" She laughed. "I'm pretty sure I still have some of those songs memorized. I'm also down to learn something new." She said excitedly.

Percy was absolutely smiling when he heard Lainey, "Lainey, this is incredible! Great minds really do think alike! You have pretty good choices in music. Game of Thrones of course, I actually practiced that one a little last night for you. Plus, I'm a fan of phantom."
He stopped to listen to her play, or at least her trying out the violin, "It's not always about speed, it's about staying in tune and playing the music you want to be playing," he said. "The fingerwork is like learning to type so it should come back with some muscle memory."
Percy retrieved his own violin from it's case and played a quick scale. "Do you know any duets?" he asked.

"I always liked the fast finger work as it gave me a challenge and was always satisfying when I could nail it, and make it sound good." She laughed.
"I do not, right off the top of my head. My brother and I used to play phantom but he'd do the piano accompaniment." She said. "Hhhhmmm we might be able to make our own? Give us something to do and work on." She laughed. "You said your family is very into music, but I gotta ask, what made you pick the violin of all things?" She asked curiously.

"I can actually play piano too, but I don't think my baby grand would fit into a suitcase very well," Percy said with a chuckle. "So I actually know how to play a lot of stuff, because if you can get the basics down it's not terribly hard to pick up the rest. So piano, guitar, drums were my foundations. If you can play violin, you can learn the other strings. If you can play guitar, you can pick up bass and ukulele. If you know guitar and violin, you can pick up mandolin. I always thought it's crazy how musical instruments relate that way to each other." Percy's voice was always full of passion when he talked about music, and cats, but definitely music. "I think I eventually picked violin because it's got a level of artistry to it that's just less common. I can sound good with some basics on guitar. But if I only know the basics of violin, it sounds like screaming vultures. But I think a lot of people don't realize how versatile violins are. You can get rock" Percy played the main riff of "Stairway to heaven" to demonstrate. "But you can also get this completely different classical sound" he played about 30 seconds of Vitali. "Or pop." Percy's voice was to demonstrate a little bit of Ed Sheeran's "Perfect""Sorry I'm a total nerd."

"I like the nerdy side of you Percy West." Lainey laughed. "You're passionate and I really love that. This is going to sound maybe a bit weird, but I actually really enjoy listening to someone just go off about their passions. The way their eyes light up and the way they transform into this like, whole new person. It's really cool." She told him.
"You sir, are also an inspiration. After talking to you last time it's actually made me want to get back into playing again, and I didn't ever think I'd pick up another one of these, so thank you." She told him. Warmth showing in her voice. "And after that there talk you just did, I might have to pick up guitar playing, or playing the ukelele. I think that would be fun one and something small and easy to pack around." She said.

"Except you can't see my eyes," Percy said with a laugh, "Just this frosted glass wall."
"Lainey, you inspire me because music is about sharing. I think that's why I love it so much, because I can find music in everyone and everything" Percy said, "I think the most rewarding part about my career is when someone wants to try more music, it's as warm and fuzzy as hugging a cat."
"Also, judging from your voice and energy, I think a uke would be a great fit for you. It's cute and peppy, but it also has this really natural sound to it. They're pretty easy to learn too."

"Well I can hear the transformation then." She laughed. She laughed again. "I think it's as rewarding as getting chosen by a cat." She giggled. "But that is seriously awesome. The most rewarding thing about my work is finally being able to finish and project and declare that I made it at the top of my lungs." She laughed yet again.
"Aaawww! Thanks. They do sound really fun. Makes me want to park my butt in the sand, or sit in a park and just have at it." She said.
"Alright Percy, we should probably get to some serious questions so I'm gonna put ya on the hot seat for a minute. Do you want kids, and how many? Or are the fur children enough for you?" She asked.

Percy laughed at Lainey's cat analogy. "Finishing a project is one of the best feelings!" he agreed.
"I'll be honest, kids aren't really something I thought about that much before this show. I never had strong feelings about needing to have kids but I don't dislike them either. I have a one year old nephew and he's awesome," Percy said, "If my wife wants kids, then I'm down or if she doesn't want kids, I'll be ok with that too. The important part is that we make that decision together. I do know I don't want kids right away though, I'd want to be married a couple years without first."
"What about you?"

Lainey listened to Percy until he was finished. "I guess I always knew kids were an inevitable thing, I have three siblings, so I know what a big family is like, and I've always wanted at least one. I think two or three might be my limit though." She laughed. "I have a sixth-month-old Nephew, so My mom isn't down my throat about grandbabies yet, I'm also only 25, so I'm not in any rush for babies for yet either." She chuckled.
"Anything important I should know? How about religion? My mom was raised an Irish-Catholic, and my dad was raised Jewish, so you can see my dilemma growing up, but my parents didn't force their beliefs on us. We celebrated all the holidays, between Christmas and Hanukkah, and easter but we didn't go to church." She explained.

"Oh yeah, I have a big family and I love them but also I wouldn't want like ten kids. I didn't even plan on having seven cats, it jus happened," Percy added. "Two or three kids is a pretty reasonable number."
"My family is from the Bible belt south and identifies at Christian, though they're not particularly religious. They go to church on holidays, They're not like the judgy kind at all and really I think the only reason they go is because my mom is super into holidays," Percy said with a laugh, "Christmas tree shopping is a big deal for her and she's into matching sweaters and the whole family getting together at some point during the holidays. My sister married an Indian guy and now we apparently celebrate holi too."
"If I married someone Jewish, I'm pretty sure my mom would learn how to make latkes get us all to celebrate that too," Percy said, not sure if that thought made him want to laugh or cringe. "Do you have any big holiday traditions?"
