As the third dates were started you were told that this date would be much different than the ones you've experienced so far and they would take place in a location other than the pods. No real hints were given other than considering sensible shoes and maybe not going in your pjs.

Instead of being taken to the pods you are lead to a completely new part of the studio and a door you've never seen before. The door is opened for you and you step inside to a completely blacked out room save for one blue light that allows you to see the dimensions of the room. You step inside an approximate 6ft by 6ft space and you see a path ahead of you. As the door closes behind you, the light goes out, completely blinding you.
A recorded voice in an almost robotic tone plays overhead.
"Welcome to the blind maze. You may not be able to see but you can feel your way through. To get a visual, the maze is a square. You and your date are on the upper two corners of the square and the exit is at the bottom in the center. You must first find each other and then find the exit. You will be able to hear each other. Best of luck."
A small ding was heard that signified the beginning of the maze.
As you head down the path that you saw before the room went dark you eventually feel your way to your first turn. Do you go LEFT or RIGHT?
GUIDELINES:
- The maze is dark enough that you can't even see your hand in front of your face. You'll have to use feel to guide you through the maze.
- I will keep on top of these dates to guide you and tell you if you chose correctly. (Post order: Person A, Person B, Me. Person A and Person B can switch if you would like to. So if GIRL is A and BOY is B. Then it could go A, B, Me, B, A, Me if you want to)
- To make it easier for me so I don't have to read every single post please put the choice you make AT THE TOP of your post IN CAPS so I can see it easily!
- You may talk and chat while you try to move through the maze.
- Once you find each other you MAY touch, hug, etc one another! Yay! Due to this, you will also be able to describe certain physical descriptions of yourself. Remember that you can't SEE each other, only feel. Things you can describe if hands find their way there are for example: height (it'll just be easiest to say your specific height so you know who is taller haha), facial hair, length of hair, bony body or beer gut? (lol), texture of skin (soft, hairy, oily, acne prone), smell (sweaty? perfume?). You should not describe things like the color of your skin, eyes, hair, or anything else that can only be seen.
- Also each maze is predetermined and different from every other maze so no one can cheat and know the answers from previous dates ^.^
- There is no word count or post number restriction for this thread as it will be determined by how many wrong turns you make.
OTHER NOTES:
- I know there are people getting close to proposals. Please do NOT propose during this date. You may do so at any time after this date.
- When proposals DO happen please let me know so I can set up your reveal thread!
- HOWEVER, there is currently no rush! This is only day 3 remember and there are approximately 10 days (ic) before you'll run out of time. (I do not have a specific end date for stage 1 in mind yet, I'm playing it by ear based on how everyone is doing, but there will be a limit at some point)
- After this date it will be up to YOU to start further dates. Further details will be provided in a PM as we get close to the end of this date.

"I can't...see...a thing." Penn said as he fumbled through the darkness. "Ah, there's the wall." He chuckled.
"This is crazy! River? Are you there? Are you okay?" He asked, a tone of excitement in his voice but also concern. "I can't believe they are letting us do this! I just can't wait to hug you." He told her as he came to the first turn and decided to go right. "Just follow my voice okay."

"Ooh I don't think I like this..." River called out in a slightly shaky voice. "I'm okay, but my heart is racing like crazy.
She laughed a little as she found an opening to her left and continued with her hand on the wall. "I think I could use a knight in shining armor, right about now. And probably a hug...no, definitely a hug."

"It's okay, it's just an empty maze." He told her with a reassuringly. "Your knight is right here." He told her with smile in his voice. "There is no one here but me, just focus on me."
He took a right turn. "We'll find each other soon and I'll give you the best hug you've ever had." He told her with a little chuckle to try to cheer her up.

I'm going to hold you to that," River joked, trailing her fingers along the wall until she felt it break off. "So if I turn left again that would be back toward the front..." she muttered, taking a right instead.
"I'm glad they thought of a way for us to meet up, but I'm not a huge fan of not being able to see where I'm going," she told him, rambling a little. "I know the only thing I'm going to find besides walls is you, though, so..." She took a deep breath. "That's good. Like, really good."

"I have to admit, this is clever. It would be interesting if our sides were the same..." she said as she took her next turn. "But I guess maybe that would be too easy. After all, some of us are doing this more than once. Although..."
Her voice dropped, quiet enough that Penn might have to strain to hear her. "I'm starting to wish I'd only said yes to this one..."

He heard what she said, barely, but he heard it. "I do think I agreed to too many today as well." He told her honestly. "This is not one that I would wish away for all the world. I'm really glad to be here with you." he said to her.

"Definitely, I wouldn't give this one up. Wouldn't give you up. I just...I don't want to hurt anyone. And to be totally honest, I'm scared as hell of going home alone." River answered, clearly upset. "But I also feel like I'm lying to people if I agree to things that I don't mean." She sighed as she came to a corner, paused to make a decision, then turned right. "I just...I feel like this whole experiment is a maze, and I'm not sure which way to turn anymore."
She hesitated. "Am I allowed to ask...how many there were that you actually want to be in this maze with?"

"I've been scared of that too." He admitted. "It feels like so many have already found their number one and I'm...not quite there yet." He told her honestly. "Close, but is it wrong that I want to be sure? Yes, I'm afraid of leaving alone because I wasn't quick enough, but I'd rather be a little slower than in an unhappy marriage because I jumped the gun." He said, a twinge of worry in his voice.
"To your question, of course you may ask. You were the only one I was 100% sure I wanted to see again today. I was set up with 3 dates today, actually 4 but I turned down at the beginning. This is my last one, but I was really, really looking forward. Last the best of all the game? Or so they say." He said with a little chuckle. "The others were...complicated in different ways. I'll tell you about it later. I promise. If you still give me the chance anyway."
He then heard the automated voice. "You made it first?! Well aren't you clever." He said with a little laugh. "Where is that turn? Damn, I'm just too excited to be with you." He admitted.

River sighed and leaned heavily against the wall of the little clearing.
"Believe me, I totally understand. I agreed to three...but I think I'm going to have to back out of one of them. So...just you and one other are left. I don't know how the heck I'm going to explain myself to Percy, but...I can't lie to him, or to myself."
She listened to his answer about the other three dates and laughed a little. "Of course I'll give you the chance. I wouldn't be here if I didn't mean it. Besides, what kind of generous queen would I be if I wouldn't even hear you out? And yes, I'm very clever. Or at least, I'm good at mazes. I just kept taking turns I knew would lead me towards the middle."

"Ah hey! Look at that! I made it after all." Penn said with a little laugh.
"You, My Queen, are quite incredible indeed." He said, moving towards the sound of her voice, his hands out in front of his 6'2 figure so he didn't just bang into her. After a moment his hand bumped against her, he wasn't entire sure which part of her.
"Your Knight has found you, Your Highness." He said playfully. "Do I have thy permission to hug thee now, My Queen?"
