As the third dates were started you were told that this date would be much different than the ones you've experienced so far and they would take place in a location other than the pods. No real hints were given other than considering sensible shoes and maybe not going in your pjs.

Instead of being taken to the pods you are lead to a completely new part of the studio and a door you've never seen before. The door is opened for you and you step inside to a completely blacked out room save for one blue light that allows you to see the dimensions of the room. You step inside an approximate 6ft by 6ft space and you see a path ahead of you. As the door closes behind you, the light goes out, completely blinding you.
A recorded voice in an almost robotic tone plays overhead.
"Welcome to the blind maze. You may not be able to see but you can feel your way through. To get a visual, the maze is a square. You and your date are on the upper two corners of the square and the exit is at the bottom in the center. You must first find each other and then find the exit. You will be able to hear each other. Best of luck."
A small ding was heard that signified the beginning of the maze.
As you head down the path that you saw before the room went dark you eventually feel your way to your first turn. Do you go LEFT or RIGHT?
GUIDELINES:
- The maze is dark enough that you can't even see your hand in front of your face. You'll have to use feel to guide you through the maze.
- I will keep on top of these dates to guide you and tell you if you chose correctly. (Post order: Person A, Person B, Me. Person A and Person B can switch if you would like to. So if GIRL is A and BOY is B. Then it could go A, B, Me, B, A, Me if you want to)
- To make it easier for me so I don't have to read every single post please put the choice you make AT THE TOP of your post IN CAPS so I can see it easily!
- You may talk and chat while you try to move through the maze.
- Once you find each other you MAY touch, hug, etc one another! Yay! Due to this, you will also be able to describe certain physical descriptions of yourself. Remember that you can't SEE each other, only feel. Things you can describe if hands find their way there are for example: height (it'll just be easiest to say your specific height so you know who is taller haha), facial hair, length of hair, bony body or beer gut? (lol), texture of skin (soft, hairy, oily, acne prone), smell (sweaty? perfume?). You should not describe things like the color of your skin, eyes, hair, or anything else that can only be seen.
- Also each maze is predetermined and different from every other maze so no one can cheat and know the answers from previous dates ^.^
- There is no word count or post number restriction for this thread as it will be determined by how many wrong turns you make.
OTHER NOTES:
- I know there are people getting close to proposals. Please do NOT propose during this date. You may do so at any time after this date.
- When proposals DO happen please let me know so I can set up your reveal thread!
- HOWEVER, there is currently no rush! This is only day 3 remember and there are approximately 10 days (ic) before you'll run out of time. (I do not have a specific end date for stage 1 in mind yet, I'm playing it by ear based on how everyone is doing, but there will be a limit at some point)
- After this date it will be up to YOU to start further dates. Further details will be provided in a PM as we get close to the end of this date.

"Holy shit!" Parker exclaimed as soon as the lights went out.
"River?! River, are you ok? Don't panic, we're in a controlled space and I'm coming to get you right now!" he called, seriously concerned about an easily anxious person being thrown into a dark strange place. "Just take a deep breath and pick a direction and keep going in that same direction."
"Wow, some way to start off the morning, I'm glad I had a solid breakfast!" he added conversationally, hoping he could maybe distract her. He fumbled around for a wall and followed it LEFT.

TURN AROUND, RIGHT
"You got this, I believe in you" Parker said brightly as he whirled around, "And soon I'll find you and we'll get through this together, don't worry I won't let you get lost" he said.
"Ok ummm my family is all doctors, except me," Parker said with a sheepish chuckle. "My dad's a plastic surgeon, my mom's a radiologist, and my genius little sister is studying to be a brain surgeon at Harvard. My parents were really right to name her Ace, she's scary smart." He said proudly, as he turned right "Every once in a while I feel like I need to go back to school and get a PhD in historical architecture just so I can be a doctor too and not be that left out. I don't think my parents are all that disappointed though. They think I'm crazy, but at this point they just accept it as long as I'm happy and functional. They're pretty busy people so we all get along but I can't say we're super duper close for family fun."

River 'mhm'ed a couple of times during what Parker was saying, just to let him know that she was paying attention.
"You definitely don't need a doctorate to prove that you're crazy smart. I can tell that just from listening to you. And besides, not just anybody can make a blog successful. I mean, it's like podcasts, everyone and their brother has tried it, but you actually made it work." She paused at the intersection and sighed. "This is tricky."
"As far as family...I think I said that it's just me and my dad? But um, I don't know if I told you the whole story. My mom passed away when I was only five, from bone cancer. I don't remember much of her outside of the hospital, and the photos my dad keeps. So...we don't really do the big family holidays or anything either. It's just us and sometimes his parents. He and I are crazy close, though. It's been killing me not to be able to just talk his ear off about all this. I had to bug poor Lainey last night to try and process my thoughts."

"Wow I'm sorry that happened to you River," Parker said as he rounded the corner right, "That must've been really rough, I'm glad you did find someone to talk to here. And whether with a happily ever after or not, I want you to always remember that I really like you and I care about you so you can always talk to me no matter who I am to you," He promised.
"I haven't spent a New Year's Eve at home in about five years, usually I'm somewhere in the world, it would be really nice to not be surrounded by strangers for it, maybe not livestreaming it would be nice too," Parker said with a chuckle, "It gets a little exhausting when the world feels like they need a peek into every part of my life, but I'm ready to keep some secrets from the world." He said with a sigh.

"That sounds exhausting. Maybe just...snap a few pictures for the blog and leave it at that? You deserve some privacy. I'm sure being in New York or somewhere would be beautiful...but it also sounds kind of lonely. Even with a big audience." She took her turn and thought he sounded a little closer. "Is there anything you still have kept secret from your fans? Or is it all that, all the time?"

"I've got a couple secrets. I'm not like a youtuber or something, most of my readers mostly care about the old buildings and travel stuff though I like to pretend some of them are there for my dazzling sense of humor," Parker said with a laugh.
He thought for a moment "Hmmm I'm such an open book I don't really think I have a lot of secrets in the first place... I haven't done a tour of my house because it's not done yet so they don't know about the slide... and they generally stay out of my love life, because that's my business and I want to keep it about the content and not turn my comments into a gossip blog," he said thoughtfully.
"I've only ever had one New Year's Kiss, and I'd really like another one, someday and absolutely not with my ex-fiancee" Parker said, "New York sounds like a great place for one."

"Ugh, dead-end," River muttered.
"I'll be honest, I always hated watching the ball drop past the actual moment of midnight...because of how crazy everyone goes. I hate loud noises, and fireworks will give me a real panic attack if I'm anywhere near them when they're going off. I usually take a couple of Benadryl and go to bed early on the Fourth of July." She explained as she retraced her steps, then went the opposite direction.
"And I bet at least some of them are there for your dazzling wit, seriously. Although, I bet the history is interesting too." She teased.
"On a more serious note, though, I heard a lot of people are seeing you today. How are you feeling about everything?"

"Ok, so New York from a soundproof window?" Parker suggested, "I do love the concerts right before it, though I've only ever seen those on TV. I can't say I'm a fan of big noises and crowds, but I like people watching without being in the middle of them."
"Ok so I'll be honest, my heart has literally never felt as lost as it is in this whole thing," Parker said with a deep breath. " I said yes to every date and I'm going to be in this maze a total of six times and I like everyone a lot but I'm also really scared about jumping in or hurting someone and it's super confusing."
"I never expected in a million years for this to be the case. I thought I'd like see some sparks fly and a chorus would sound and that would be the end of it, but I... I really want to get to know everyone and I think this is the first time in my life I'm not being my usual impulsive self because I really don't want to screw this all up," He blurted out. "And it's killing me inside because I know it's not fair and I feel like I must be really selfish or something, but... I really like you..."

"I can't blame you. I said yes to more dates today than I should have, and I'm going to have to deal with that somehow. I'm just lucky the first one went the way it did. This is my second one, so I think I'm doing a little be--Aw man, this one has three paths. They did this just to be mean, didn't they?" She sighed, cleared her throat, and continued, "Anyway. I don't think you're wrong for trying to figure out what you're looking for. But I also don't think you should hold out just because you're scared you're going to make a mistake. Which, obviously, is hypocritical of me, but...I think you can totally do this."
"So um, I'm sorry if this is rude, but I'm mainly here because I feel like you need a hug. Like, seriously. I probably do too, after the crazy morning I've had, but that's a story for another time. I am definitely rambling because I'm nervous. I don't think I can shut up." She laughed nervously.
"Assuming that I'm not totally insane, I think I'm gonna be engaged to someone else pretty soon. We didn't actually say, so I could be totally wrong, but I trust him...so I'm gonna assume that my anxiety is the only thing telling me that I should have gotten it in writing. But on the other hand, I think you're fantastic, so I still wanted to go through with this crazy maze--even if it's just to give you someone to talk to seriously. Someone's gotta tie you down to earth in all this."
"So, tell me what you're thinking. For real. I wanna hear all of it."

"Ok," Parker took a deep breath. "Honestly, I'm not that surprised. You're a really amazing person and I'm not kidding when I say you're one of the bravest people I've ever met. I've been afraid since the start that I'd scare you off or completely screw up, and that was hard, but also I just admire you so much that I kept wanting to get to know you and maybe that was a little selfish of me so I'm sorry for that. I think... I think I've had my heart broken and I've been in and out of love enough times that I'm not sure what it's supposed to feel like so I get feelings confused easily and I didn't realize I had to work on that until this whole thing." Parker admitted.
He sighed, "I have 6 dates in total today and half of them I'm not even sure how I feel because well I didn't get to see Shaan or Speyeria for a second date even though I wanted to so this is my second chance with them."
"And hey, if you want to gush to me about someone, I won't tell him and well I guess you don't have to worry about any of the girls getting jealous or however that works, so can we still be besties? I hope he proposes to you, I think it'll happen."
