As soon as Dean stepped through the exit door of the maze he asked for an immediate date in the pods with Lainey Yurkovich. He would have demanded it in fact except that no one batted an eye at the request. Less than an hour later, just long enough for Lainey and Dean to get freshened up if they wanted, their date began. Dean had gone back to the suites and dressed in a well cut suit. She wouldn't be able to see him, but he wanted to look and feel the part. He stepped into the pod and took a deep breath, not able to keep the smile off of his face. |

The moment Lainey got back to the suite, she jumped into the shower and scrambled to get ready. She'd recruited some of the other girls for help, knowing she was too much of a nervous, excited wreck to do it herself is she wanted to be on time. She wanted to look nice even though she knew Dean wasn't going to see her. She dressed in one of the dresses she's brought, and then practically ran to the pod where production had told her to go.
She grabbed the door, and yanked it open. "I'm here!" She called. Sounding a bit breathless. "Hooo fuck." She whispered. Her heart was beating a mile a minute as she closed the door, and she couldn't help the smile that fell on her lips as she walked to the glass wall. Anticipation setting in.

Dean laughed as she called out. "Hi Here, I'm Dean." He joked. "I'm sorry, bad joke." He said with another laugh.
"Phew, wow, I didn't think I'd feel so nervous." He admitted, though clearly still smiling. He wiped his palm on his pants and swallowed. "I promised it would be very quick. I hope not too quick?" He asked.

"Har har, already practicing those dad jokes?" She laughed.
She bit her lip as she listened to him. "Same," She said. "But it's the good nervous." She added quickly.
She took a deep breath and then rested her forehead against the glass wall. "It's not soon enough." She couldn't help but laugh. "Being in that maze and to actually feel you, was like...Validating. That you are real, and that the connection was real. It's hard to explain. Soul mates is my only explanation." She whispered the last bit very softly."

He moved up to the glass, placing his hand against it. "Definitely the good nervous." He agreed.
"You look beautiful by the way." He said, flirtatiously teasing. "I'm assuming. I can't see you, but thought you should know." He said.
"Gosh I can't stop smiling." He said, stretching his facial muscles before chuckling. "I can't explain it either, fate maybe. Like all my life has been leading up to this moment...
Lainey, I have never felt this way about anyone before in my life. Maybe it's unrelated, but maybe love really is blind. I was able to get to know you as a person. We've been able to dive deep into the heart of things and learn about each other without the distractions of the world or even each other's real presence. From the day we met I was all in it for you. It's been you from the start and each interaction after has only proved that more and more. I am...completely, one-hundred percent, head over heels in love with you. Dean got down on one knee in front of the glass.
"Elaine Catherine Yurkovich, will you do me the incredible honor of marrying me?" He asked.

Lainey stood there and held her breath, the waterworks instantly started as he went into his little speech and she brought her hands up to her face. Her heart feeling like it was fit to burst with the emotions she was feeling.
She let a small muffled sob out at hearing his proposal and began to nod her head rapidly for a moment. "oh shit, I forgot you can't see me." She suddenly laughed, removing her hands from her face. "YES DEAN WILLIAM BAELISH I WILL MARRY YOU!" She yelled. "God I'm crying again." She laughed, trying to wipe the stream of tears. "I probably look like a racoon." She laugh cried. "Also," She leaned her head against the glass. "From the moment I heard you I didn't know it yet, because it took until after our date, I knew you were the one for me. I'm 100% in love you with you Dean, I didn't think I could love another, hell, I didn't think i could love another more in my life than I do you. I want it all. The house, the dog, the future babies, growing old, and rocking on that porch with you." She told him. Sniffling as she got it all out. "I love you, and It it would my honor, to be your wife."

Dean sighed with relief and laughed when she admitted that he couldn't see her. "Woman! You scared the daylights out of me." He said laughing but his voice cracked in the middle as he started to cry.
"I swear, I'm not usually a crier. What are you doing me Lainey?!" He called out, sniffing and he managed to slowly stand up. "I want it all baby, I want it all with you. Let's do this. I'm yours." He said, putting both hands on the glass. "Just pretend I'm hugging you right now." He said with a teary laugh.

"I'm usually one either." She laughed. Wiping under her eyes. She leaned against the glass and laughed some more. "Oh I am. You have some pretty great hugs sir." She said happily. She let a dreamy sigh out then. "Dean...we're engaged...And I met you three days ago." She said in disbelief. "I can't stop smiling right now." She told him. "OH MY GOSH I GET TO ACTUALLY SEEEEE YOU NEXT!" She said beginning to jump up and down as the realization hit her.

Dean laughed into his hands. "Wow! We're engaged!" He said, taking in the full weight of the statement. He laughed again. "Damn, I'm lucky!"
At her realization he chuckled, the smile plastered on his face. "It can't come soon enough!!!!"

"No it can't!!! I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep until I see you, and hear you again." She laughed. She let a breath of air out and stared up at the ceiling. "River is so getting gushed too when I get back to the girl's suite." She laughed. "Alright, I'm gonna see you soon okay?" She said. "And when you I see you prepare thyself to be tackled." She informed him. She laughed then. Still in disbelief. "I love you Dean." She said grinning before she walked to the door.
She'd wait to hear anything he said before she'd say goodbye and then leave the pod, practically skipping down the hallway.

"I don't think I'll be able to sleep either." he told her with a chuckle. "Yes, as soon as possible." He promised her.
He laughed at her warning. "I shall be prepared my lady." He told her, finally pulling himself away from the glass. "I love you too, Lainey. Get some rest, because you might not get a lot once we're together." He told her with a laugh.
He hated to leave but did it with the knowledge of being one step closer to officially being with her.
