Somewhere on the first morning of the first day of her new life back in San Diego, Valeria found herself sitting at the kitchen bar counter watching her fiance cook breakfast, and staring at the phone she had turned back off, mug of coffee in her hand. She already gone weeks without it and those were the very best weeks of her entire life so far. She eyed the phone, prodded at it with a finger, like it was some form of venomous snake. "Dare me to turn it back on yet?" She asked Blake Carson with an amused laugh. She looked over to her super hot husband, "Have you bothered turning yours on yet?" Val arched her back in a lazy stretch before poking at her phone again. Maybe after breakfast. Breakfast was clearly more important. "So swing by our places to get stuff today I guess?" This still might as well be a dream for her. Dream man, dream smells coming from the stove, it was too good to be true. Plus, this apartment was twice the size of her little studio apartment. Blake said he had a house and Val had no arguments about leaving her apartment. "I really should go check on the brewery tomorrow..." Ryker would be there, ready to grill her. Knowing her mother, Lizzie Winter would likely also be waiting to pounce on them.

Blake stood with a hip cocked, hand on his hip, and spatula in hand while he waited to flip over pancakes. He was an early riser normally and went for a run to help wake himself up, but that first morning back and in a new place made him have a lazy morning. Besides, it was painstakingly difficult to leave the bed now when he had the most beautiful girl he ever did see using him as a pillow.
"I double-dog dare you," Blake smirked as he looked over his shoulder at his fiancee. "Not yet, but I probably should for work." He sighed. He reached up scratched his head before flipping one of the pancakes. He made quick work of flipped the others, and then made two plates of Pancakes, eggs, dices potatoes, and bacon. Turning the burner off, he turned and slid one of the plates in front of Val, before turning to the fridge. He opened it up and took out the jug of orange juice and poured two glasses. Then opened one of the drawers production had told him they'd put them in, and came out with two tiny umbrellas that he opened before he placed one in each drink and slid Val over her tall glass of OJ complete with fancy umbrella.
"Sounds good to me, we got that party later don't we?" He asked as he handed her a fork. He knew he'd been forgetting something. "What time tomorrow?" He asked curiously. He had a shift he would have to get ready for. Unfortunately, it was back to the real world. But! He had a nice tan and new fiancee out of it.

Valeria was drooling at the smell of breakfast food, "You are a fucking god in the kitchen," she said before grabbing her fork. The phone was ignored for the moment. She giggled at the tiny umbrellas, "It's like we're still in Santorini," she said before washing down the first part of her breakfast with the OJ.
She paused to think about the plans. "You can come with if you want," she said. "I bet Ryker will be staked out after I tell him, Mom too. Or maybe I can just keep you to myself just a little longer," she said the last bit with a devilish grin.
Another poke at the phone and she held down the on button. "Ok here we go..." Val said, but motioning for Blake to be quiet as she dialed a three way call for Ryker and her mom. She waited for both sides to pick up before she said anything.
"Hey mom, hey Ryker, and I guess Julie too! I'm back from Greece!" "Val you were in Greece?!?!" "Yeah with my soon to be husbanddddd!" she said with a cackle. There was much yelling from all other parties involved. Many demands were made. There was crying somewhere in there too. Val just sat there listening and not saying a word. She was busy eating her pancakes. When it partially subsided, she finally spoke. "He can cook too!" she bragged. "You can come over for dinner this week to meet him!"
"A booming voice came over the phone, it was Lizzie Winter, "VALERIA MAYBEL WINTER IF YOU DON'T TELL ME WHERE YOU AND THIS MAN ARE RIGHT THIS SECOND! I WANT TO MEET HIM RIGHT THIS SECOND YOUNG LA-"
"I love you too Mom! I'll text you the details later!" Valeria said with a cackle before hanging up. The phone immediately started ringing again. She turned it off and fell into Blake's arms in her fit of laughter. "They're gonna love youuuu"

Blake dug in after coming to sit next to her. He rested one forearm on the bar before he leaned forward and looked over at Val. A small smile appearing on his face. "I'm working a graveyard tomorrow." He grimaced. "So I'll need a nap at like...Two, but if you want we can make it a morning trip?" He asked. A bit unsure whether or not he wanted to meet Val's family yet. It was a little bit of a reminder she really wouldn't have anyone but a few work friends of his to meet.
He shoved those thoughts away and went back to eating, giving her the side-eye as she turned her phone on and then dialed away. Blake started to joke on his orange juice at the flurry of voices and chuckled quietly to himself. He pushed the orange juice to the side, and leaned on his elbow, resting his cheek on his closed fist as he watched her in amusement.
He glanced at her phone when the booming voice sounded. Why did he know that voice? It sounded rather familiar, but he didn't focus much on it. Val was already hanging up and falling into his arms as she laughed. He chuckled along with her, placing a kiss to the top of her head. "I sure hope they do." He murmured, giving her a quick squeeze. "Hurry up and eat those pancakes, so we can get done and hide out here the rest of the day, so I can enjoy what time I have left with you before I gotta work." He nudged her, stealing a quick kiss before he grabbed a piece of bacon and began to nibble on it.

Right, reality was a thing and Val did agree to marry a man with a crazy schedule. Naps sounded good to her, though it was likely enough after it she'd end up heading back to the brewery. She managed to kiss him back before he chose bacon over making out. She couldn't blame him for that one, not one bit. "If I mess with them too long they'll storm the place. Maybe we can invite them over for dinner on your night off?" She was patient about it, her mother would be a different story.
"Oh do you now?" Val said flirtatiously. "You only have the rest of our lives when we're not working," she purred, still loving the sound of that. Well maybe less when they had kids. Apparently people had less private time when kids got involved. The clock was ticking on that notion, but it could wait a little longer.
She went to work finishing her breakfast. Then she'd go change into another typical Val outfit, ripped jeans and a crop top. "So are we going to your place first or mine?"
