For the sake of filming, Production had told Parker he needed to stay relatively in the area until the wedding. That would be hard. There were a hundred places he wanted to show Shaan Vladislav . However, Los Angeles would be very high on that list. Less than an hour's drive from his place and where his parents were. When he had told his family that he was going to be on a dating show, it was mostly filled with eye rolls. Right, Parker being crazy Parker. He was pretty sure they didn't fully believe him. But here he was with some kind of angel wearing a space rock that he picked out. Lori's ring had been way less cool and way more expensive, but also Lori was way less cool. They had a whole day ahead of them. "Hey baby, wanna talk to my sister?" Parker asked as he sat on the the bed of their new apartment. "We should totally Facetime Ace! I'm sure she'll be super excited to meet you! We can call your Grams if you want too. Or just go visit her and stuff... I really should get my computer and do work and stuff this week..." |

Shaan had been unpacking her stuff since they got to their little new apartment, well what she had of her stuff anyway. She was trying to busy herself because all the plane rides and the long vacation had her going stir crazy, she was itching to get back to her normal routine, earlier in the day she had called her boss to let him know she was back in town finally and work out when she could go on schedule, though some part of her after it all was really asking did she even need to work? After being with Parker for really any amount of time she kinda realized that she probably wouldnt need to worry about money for quite some time. It was a weird place to be in for her, though she kind of in some way liked it?
She was torn from her own thinking by Parks talking to her, she turned to him and bit at her lip, it was kind of intimidating to be ready to even sorta meet the family. She smoothed down the plain black shirt she wore and moved to sit onto the bed, letting her fingers idly tap at his knee. "Ya know what.. sure, I'd actually like to facetime her with ya. Grams.. Ohh boy if I call her to introduce you she's gonna hit me with the salt. You get to meet her in person..probably like tomorrow." She said thoughtfully.

"You're gonna love her!" Parker exclaimed, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Ace is awesome and she makes the best cake! I'm sure you'll meet her in person soon too, she just has to fly in from Boston." He was super excited to show off his new fiancee to his family. Ace would believe him, he was so sure of that. His parents on the other hand, they were between just letting Parker do Parker things and having some serious concern for his life choices the past few years. Parker flopped down on the bed and called Ace. It rang once before Ace's adorable face filled the screen. "Parker! Where the hell have you been?" she asked. "Oh the usual, Greece," Parker said, "But I've got news! I'm super excited to tell you this news!" He waited for a dramatic pause. "I'm getting married!" "Parker. What. Again? You're not serious. This joke isn't funny!!" "No I mean it! Her name is Shaan and she's a bartender that wants to be a cop and she's amazing and our vacation was super awesome! SEEEEEE!" Parker turned the phone to Shaan and pointed at the ring on her finger. "WHAT?!" Ace yelled. "Parker do Mom and Dad know about this? Nevermind, I'm booking a flight home like right now." "Hi Shaan was it? I'm Ace, congrats on marrying my goofball brother I guess?" Ace was definitely still confused but she was rolling with it. "You're really pretty." |

Shaan gave a small laugh at his excitement, she had never really done a meet the family type thing so it was gonna be interesting either way. "I'm sure I'll adore her." She said as she moved to place a small kiss on his shoulder with a tiny laugh. She liked seeing him happy.
She was a little bit nervous but it was probably pretty normal right? Meeting the little sister was kinda like the scale, it was gonna really well and things would go smooth or Ace would probably hate her and this would crumble. She hoped for the former.
She heard them talking and then the phone flipped to her, she gave Ace a sheepish smile and a small wave. "Hi!" She said softly, feeling totally out of her element, she was awkward and shy all over again. "Uh yeah it's super nice to finally put a face to the name! Parker talked a lot about you and nah, you're hyper gorgeous" She said with a small chuckle

At some point Ace had set her phone down and leaned back into her chair. She was wearing a Harvard hoodie of course. Ace could be heard typing over the Facetime. She was a woman that did as she said she was doing, always.
"I hope all good things or I'll kick his ass when I get back home," Ace said with a laugh, "Awww you're so sweet too. If you ever want dirt on him, play your cards right and I might have your back." Ace said with a wink.
"Parker! How fast do I have to fly home? I mean I can be in San Diego in like three days..." Ace suddenly called. "Or I can go straight to LA and leave you lovebirds aloneeeee"
"Oh yeah... you can totally stay at the house. They gave us an apartment for right now," Parker said, like that was something completely normal. "Ummm yeah I haven't decided if I'm telling Mom and Dad in person or over the phone yet..." Parker admitted. He was also considering just waiting for Ace to fly back so he'd have a little more of a buffer.
"So Shaan, what type of cake do you like?" Ace asked.

"Nah all good!.. I can imagine theres a looooot of dirt on this goofball, totally gonna have to get on your good side then." She said with a laugh as she moved to lightly hold Parkers free hand.
She was actually interested in this whole thing, Ace seemed super nice and she was suddenly wondering why she had been so worried about meeting the family? If they were anything like Parker even in some small way it would be fine, he liked her after all there was no reason his family couldnt or wouldnt.
She was torn from her thoughts. "Oh no.. So I already warned Parker I haven't actually eaten much in the way of cakes.. but.. I like devils foodcake? Does that even count as a real cake?" She chuckled softly. "He has told me you make the absolute best cakes."
