You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)

Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse
Hobbies/Passions

Gem chuckled quietly during his assessment of her name. "I guess that makes you a leader, then? Well I can dig that. I've got two brothers too, only they are both younger. I'm an accountant, originally from Detroit, Michigan. There's an irony to that, I know. So what or who exactly do you train? You're not like a dog trainer, are you?"

Dean laughed. "No no, fitness. I work for myself, under my own name rather than for a specific gym, but I do training sessions both in the gym and in-home. I also have a massage therapy certification and the work goes hand in hand quite a bit actually. So, Michigan! That's pretty awesome, I've been there before. It's very green, I liked it there." He said.
"What brought you here to San Diego then? School? Job? Ex-boyfriend?" He asked.

"I usually like to be out surfing or otherwise enjoying the beach, the sunshine, the people." He said with a little laugh. "I've been surfing since I was a kid, it's my go-to activity."

"God. Surfing? Well, I'm glad some of us in this life are capable of such feats. I do enjoy the beach, but I wouldn't dream of trying to do something like surf. I have no balance whatsoever. I played some softball in high school, but that's about it as far as sports are concerned."

“I don’t think it’s silly to have a list but it’s also nice to be a little more flexible too.” Dean replied kindly.
“I want someone I can have fun with, someone who won’t be too serious or too much of a homebody. I’m happy to hang out on the couch and cuddle occasionally but I’m a pretty active, social guy and I’d like someone who wanted to do other things with me.”
