You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)

Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse
Hobbies/Passions

Parker was actually surprised with that answer "Now that's a super cool one. I was planning on trying to come up with a cool fact about wherever you said, but I haven't been to Antarctica yet so you got me there."
"And I have to admit it was kinda a trick question if I have to answer it. I travel for a living, so I would care more about who I was with than where I am. So I guess right now I'm glad I'm here in San Diego, in a pod. I do love Japan though, during cherry blossom season." Parker knew exactly how cheesy he sounded, but it was honest.

Just like this pod and this experiment. I’m...not a very adventurous girl, myself. That’s probably a deal breaker for you. Or maybe the fact that I’m not a fan of pets, since most people love dogs or cats...”

"I guess I'd say I'm cautious." She chuckled after that. "Uhm, I'm...I am consistent. My brothers say so, anyways. And...this is harder than I thought it would be. I probably should have planned this answer out prior to attending this event..."

Parker sighed thoughtfully, "There are 7.8 billion people in the world, and somewhere out there is a soulmate for every single one of those 7.8 billion people. I've met so many different people over the past few years traveling around and the thing that I still can't figure is love, so I'm pretty sure it just takes a lot of dumb luck to meet that perfect match out of the entire world," he said. "Guess I should be glad I'm super lucky. I hope I haven't used all my good dice rolls up already."

If one man marries the wrong person, then his soulmate must marry the wrong person by necessity, which makes the soulmate of the third person marrying someone wrong, and so on and so forth. It would also be doubly screwed when there's a divorce. I just...I hope to just fine someone to love, who loves me, and who wants to do life with me. I just want something simple. I think I'm too plain a woman to have anything as grand as a soulmate."

"Oh my god, I've never thought about it that way and I'm like totally stressed about that now," Parker said, awestruck. "Like that's terrifying. I mean, that's kinda why we're all here right? Let the universe work through the producers to bring us our partners." He paused, "I have to agree, I think deep down that's what we all want and I think the whole experiment makes it easier to get to that point. I want someone that just wants to be with me, no matter what I'm doing or where in the world I go, and ideally want to go with me on the next adventure."

Parker burst out laughing at that, "Me? Romantic? Nahhhh, not a chance, you can ask all my exes" he said between laughs. "No really, I just... know what I want I guess, and I'm super ready for her if I can just find her. Everyone tells me I'm a shit boyfriend and they're probably right, but they think I'd be a good husband if I can find someone for that level of commitment and airline spouse benefits.
