You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)
Occupation
Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse
Hobbies/Passions

Percy entered the pod, and looked around. "Wow this is crazy!"
He stared at the frosted glass wall "Hey, anyone over on the other side? I'm Percy. I'm waving right now but you can't see me" he said with a laugh.

"Hey Percy! Is that short for Percival? Perseus perhaps?" She asked curiously, but there was a hint of a slight tease in her voice. "I'm waving right back at ya!" Lainey laughed. "I'm Lainey! I know right? I still can't believe I'm here. That this is even happening. You can't see it but I'm shaking my head right now." She giggled. "What is that you do Percy?"

Percy laughed, it was melodic and matched his velvety voice. "I wish I was that cool, but no it's just Percy and my last name is West, not Jackson. I can totally imagine a hand waving at me, but not a person at all, this is so weird!"
"I'm a violinist, a songwriter too, but mostly a violinist. I play a few other things for when people need instruments they can't play on their tracks, it's kinda the family business. What about you?"

Rather than answering his question, Lainey wanted to ask her own."Percy West, you can't see me narrowing my eyes at you, but they're narrowed. What level of chair are you with your Violin?" She asked. "Are you a maple, boxwood, ebony, spruce, rosewood, or willow type of man when it comes to what your violin is made of?" She asked him. Her tone going from playful to serious but with enough of a hint that he would get she knew exactly what he was talking about with his instrument. "More importantly, can you play the Game of Thrones opening song?"

"Oh wow, a lot of questions. Well I don't play in an orchestra or anything so no chair. I record for other artists and do some songwriting work. My family has a record label so I get a lot of studio work for various instruments but I'm the go to strings guy," Percy paused, a little nervous from the barrage of questions and how he got from musician girls talking to him. "I have four violins, my favorite one is quilted maple, and yeah I can play the Game of Thrones theme, probably not by heart but I can play anything if I have the sheet music. I take it you play too?"

"Oh cool! That's actually super neat!" She said. She gave a sad sounding sigh. "I used too. I haven't played in about....8? Years." She told him. "Ended up having to sell my violin to help with bills around the house when I was a junior in highschool." She said a bit sadly, but then quickly shook it off. "But I was really into it when I did have it. I was a bit of the same, I played whatever I had sheet music for."
"Quilted maple huh? Mine was a spruce."
"So you're a violinist, what other things do you like to do? Got any pets?"

"Well I hope you can get back into it someday, you sound like you liked it a lot," Percy said, "I do a lot of playing what people need me to play but it's really cool when I'm working with a musician and can improvise a bit. If we ever meet in the real world, you can totally play whatever you want in my music room," he said lightly.
"So I like to dance, not like at a club and not on stage or anything, just for me because it's fun. I also have... seven cats," Percy said, more like admitted.

"I did. Maybe I can! I'm afraid of how rusty I'll be though." She laughed. "I'd actually really love that. Man, it's been ages. Your making me feel nostalgic and making me miss old Scooter." She laughed again. "And yes, I named my violin." She said sounding rather proud of herself.
"I love that! I personally love a good dance session when no one is looking. Especially in my pajamas or underwear. No one can make fun of my left two feet that way." She admitted. "I don't do parties or club, so I like this dance around the house idea." She told him.
"Wait, Seven?" She asked surprised. "You're probably tired of repeating yourself, but how do you take care of them all?" She asked. "I have a golden retriever, and he's enough for me to take care of, I can't imagine seven cats."

"I used to name all my instruments, sometimes I do still if they're really special to me," Percy said, "My sisters and I only name instruments after names in songs or famous historical figures but never famous composers that play the instrument being named, the rules are pretty intense."
Percy gave a shy laugh at the mention of his cats, "Yeah there's seven of them, it's not too bad since I do a lot of work at home and cats are pretty easy to take care of. Two of them are on special medications and have to be fed separately but usually it's just making sure they don't break anything. Dug sounds like a lot of fun. My sister had a pomeranian when we were younger. Do you have any siblings?"

"Aaawww, I can just imagine all the love you must get. Dug is a spoiled brat, and keeps me company since I pretty much work at home. We do everything together." She told him. "I do! Two older sisters, and a younger brother. Johanna and Abby are two years apart, there's three years between me and Abby, and then Lyle is a year younger than I am." She explained. "They're all giant nerds, well, Jo is a definite girly girl and was valedictorian, but I'm the black sheep by being the wild child exercise fanatic." She laughed. "What about you? Do you have siblings?'

"Wow big family! Gotta love being a middle child right? I know the feeling. I've got three sisters, my older sisters are Roxanne and Bria and I have a younger sister, Lark. We're all super close because we literally all work together, like my whole family is music," Percy said with a chuckle.
"They can all be... a lot to handle. I'm also the black sheep in my family because I'm the only one that doesn't love being on stage. Roxy is guitarist that tours, she's married to our entertainment lawyer, Bria is doing really well as a solo artist, and Lark goes to USC for music production so she lives with me sometimes. Our pops owns a record label, not one of the major ones or anything but he works really hard to get there. My fam could probably be a reality show," he said with a laugh.

"Thats super awesome! My family doesn't work together, which I think is a really good thing." She laughed. "But we're definitely very close. My siblings are pretty much my best friends." She said. "Johanna works in communications and got married like...three years ago? She just had a baby six months ago, so mom gets to spoil a grandbaby. Abby is a literal rocket scientist and works at this fancy lab, and Lyle and is a Police Officer, but don't let that fool you. He's a giant nerd." She laughed.
"Mine too, but there isn't that much drama so I think we'd be pretty boring. Unless mom and I get into it which is...." She grimaced and then sighed. "So other than playing music and your cats what do you like to do Percy?"

"Trust me, it's probably ess of a headache without the drama," Percy said with light chuckle, "I love them but they drive me nuts sometimes."
He paused to think for just a moment. "Hmmm, not a whole lot. I took ballet lessons for 10 years, stayed in it longer than any of my sisters. The only practice I get are my kitchen dance sessions while waiting for my toast though. What about you? Got any new hobbies since violin?"

"Uuuuum, my new hobbies include burning a lot of energy through running, walking my dog, hiking, going to the gym. Crime shows though on Netflix have been my recent development. It's not really a crime show, but more of like...a political drama? It's called Bodyguard If I remember right. Has Richard Madden in it playing the bodyguard to this woman who's running for a government position, lots of political intrigues while also dealing with terrorists at the same time, it's SO SO SO good. I highly recommend it." She informed him.
