You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)
Occupation
Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse
Hobbies/Passions

She had just entered and heard a voice. Finally someone talked first. "Hi nervous and terrified Im shaan. Dear god I made a dad joke.. Im shaan and its cool to meet you. And yes, nervous as hell, never really dated and this has been... A bit overwhelming honestly.. In a good way." she gave a small nervous laugh

Blake chuckled. "It was a funny joke!" He laughed. "Nice to meet you Shaan I might be nervous and terrified, but I also go by Blake." He told her. "I gotta agree, this is bananas. I haven't had much time for dating either, and when I did, it was nothing serious. Except for one, but that's a skeleton in the closet we'll get to later." He laughed nervously. "What is it you do Shaan?"

She let out a laugh, relaxing a little bit. "Im all for skeletons in the closet. So currently Im a bartender.. But I have plans to join the police academy eventually. Figure it would be a decent fit for me. What about you?"

"Aaaaah so you're the one everyone tells their secrets too." He said. "Well currently I'm still technically "in school" I guess you could say. I'm currently a resident Trauma Doctor at one of the teaching hospitals in San Diego. I like people and I want to help them the best I can, and if I'm the reason someone gets to live another day, then I'm a pretty happy camper." He told her. "What makes you want to join the police academy other than you think it's a decent fit?" He asked. Curious to know.

"Oh yeah im the vault that every drunk person goes to. Well thats it. I've made grandma happy and went on a date with a doctor. Shows over folks" she let out a laugh at the notion. "I like making a difference for good. May be nice to help some people when I can. Deeper reason is heavy shit thats totally not first date material. Has to do with my birth mom, im adopted. Why a doctor?"

Blake let a burst of laughter out at Shaan's joke. "You can tell Grandma I'm a gardener and a good cook too." He chuckled. He listened to her and let out a "Ooof. I feel yah. I don't know my birth parents either." He said. "Similar to you I guess? I grew up real rough, and it made me want to make a difference. I like people, and I like helping people so If I can help someone fighting for their life and be the reason why they get to live another day, then I'm a happy man." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Bless you, I cant cook to save my life. We exist on take out and let me tell ya, home cooking sounds good" She laughed a light hearted laugh. "Ok so actually it may be kinda not bad to talk about .. Buut i have to save something for a second date. I grew up.. Strict? 3 different martial arts, pottery and studio art classes, music classes and actual school." There was a long sigh "Thats a really.. A good trait to have and a good way of thinking actually, you don't meet a lot of people like that. Doing some good in the world is important.

"Ooooooh So I do get a second date? I don't have to ask for it?" He laughed. "That's a lot. I didn't grow up strict. Mine was more survival of the fittest, and I got moved around a lot, so there wasn't much time to make friends or figure out what was "in" if you know what I mean." He let a breath of air out through his nose. "I've seen a lot of the bad in the world, so I'm all about doing as much good as I can." He chuckled lightly. "So I take it it's a good thing I'm a Doc? I can at least patch myself up if I ever offend you."

She let out a laugh and tapped the glass once. "Well I clearly have to tell you the story at some point now that I got you hooked huh? My plan worked out I think." Another laugh from her side. "Trust me, I understand what you mean by bad. Don't worry, I reserve the martial arts for creeps at the bar or the occasional mugger. Havent gotten the second yet though, been wanting to cross it off."

"Please kung-fu would be gentle as hell compared to what I'd do to someone. I've only had to really break it out once, some drunk dudes don't take no for an answer and think a smack to your ass is flattery. I will neither confirm nor deny that he left with all bones intact. Buut it's nice to know a big strong doctor will poor little me's back."

"I've lived in Seattle and a small town in ohio that I hardly remember." There was a chuckle, and a small content sigh. "Well I'll definitely need to be bandaged up, I hear the academy is rough, but hey, I'll have a doctor in mind for my physical." There was the flirting, the slight drop in tone. "On the subject of sleeping..does me hoarding blankets sound like a plus or a minus... because I like some soft blankets."

"No not bad at all!, it is a bit chilly. And as I am doctor I can say getting too cold is not good for you. For health reasons I might insist the producers let me warm you up." He said in his best doctor's voice before he laughed. "It's been really nice talking to you Shaan. You're a pretty cool lady, and I don't want to sound like I'm flattering you up so you don't kick my ass, but," He chuckled a little. "I like you."

"I happen to like you too..so much so I'd really love to see you again, I will totally get into a cat fight over you Blake." She let out a small chuckle "But really I like spending time with you.. You seem grounded and really genuine. I feel like I could tell you almost anything and you'd roll with it."

"Well we can't have any catfights happen! I only brought so many bandaids." He chuckled. "I'd really love to see you too again Shaan." He told her on a more serious note. "I like to think I'm pretty open-minded, and a chill dude. It's all the gardening, brings me zen." He laughed. "You're pretty spectacular too, I feel like I can tell you probably half that shit I've gone through, and you won't even bat an eye. It's really nice, let me tell you." He said.
"So uh, If I asked production to get you smores, and an extra soft blanket for our next date would that be okay? Figure I need to something to keep you warm if we can't cuddle." He said sheepishly.
