You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)
Occupation
Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse
Hobbies/Passions

She entered the room, this time actually making sure that the door closing made a sound. Time for her second date "Hey uh, I'm Shaan... These rooms are really really gaudy.. So uh If you had to pick one, cuddle up to a warm fire on a snowy day or tropical beach in the sun? Im more a cold day and fire kinda girl." Her voice was soft and gentle, the smallest hint of an accent was there if one dug deep enough to find it.

"Hey Shaan, I'm Percy. I don't think I'll ever get used to this weirdness of not being able to see anyone." Percy let out a nervous chuckle. It was his second date too and he was still full of adrenaline from the whole thing. "Definitely the cold day and warm fire. I'm very much an indoor cat and well I like to hang out with my cats."

A laugh escaped her lips, yeah she was in agreeance. "Ok yeah this is kinda weird. Not seeing the other person does make it a little bit interesting." She took a small breath, trying to steady her nerves. "Ok so we have a ton in common except cats, Never had one growing up so I'm more a dog person... Well mostly a Rodent person.. but that never seems to be an option huh?" She chuckled a small bit at the notion. "What kind of cat and what name. I gotta get to know the fur baby." |

"Ok I hope you don't run as soon as you hear this," Percy had a mock tone of warning in his voice. "I actually have seven cats. I said I was going to stop at like cat five, but then I inherited two more. If there's a fire going, they'll all pile up in front of it and it's just really pleasant and cozy"

"I semi hope you're serious there. That would be really fluffy. The only cats im a huge fan of are naked cats... because they're just so damn wrinkly. for real though, I may not be crazy about cats, but I love animals. Gonna have to do better to scare me off... Like I dunno, secret serial killer might do it." She had a laugh over that one.

"Oh I'm totally serious. No naked cats though. I've got two Maine coons though, they're like 25 lbs each and super fluffy, pretty much dogs." Percy said with a laugh. "I can confirm that I'm not a serial killer. You're not one either right? I can't look you in the eyes to tell."

"So I take it getting rodents as pets would not be the best idea." there was a laugh from her end. "Ok so I need names of them. I am not a serial killer, my plans go right and I will be the badass catching said killers, I'd say scouts honor but I wasnt a scout."

"Yeah that's not really a thing I can do, Captain might only have one eye, but I'm pretty sure he'd still go after something small and furry," Percy said with a grimace, he wasn't a big fan of gore. "So the coons are Eloise and Captain. I've got a three-legged Russian blue named Tripod. Misa is a calico. Muffins is a munchkin. And Rowena and Cedric are the inherited cats, they're tuxedos." Percy listed, it was obvious how much he loved his cats when he talked about them.

She let out a light hearted laugh and tapped the glass once. "Ok totally safe to say I dont think we're gonna be the shows power couple.. But this could be a pretty good friendship. I have this dream about a pair of Chinchillas I plan on chasing..But I totally wanna meet your cats."

"They're the best, and apparently really bratty." She laugh softly. "Well I just never had time to date between martial arts and all the odd classes, and as an adult it kinda looked like a bullshit marathon, this kinda cuts that out.. And I like the idea of people not judging me based on my looks, you make good connections that way and im eager to see what some people are really like. What about you?"

"Woah you sound way cool, martial arts and other stuff? What other classes did you take?" Percy asked. "Well I come from a music family and I dated a bit in that whole circle and it just kinda sucked. I never knew if someone was dating me for me or because they wanted to get a deal with my pops or something. Here, all there someone has is my voice and me as a person, not an accessory."

"Specifically Systema Muay Thai and Krav Maga for the martial arts, Pottery and basic studio art, I like charcoal. Guitar and Piano and I'm fluent in English Russian and am conversational in Latin...yes Latin. I learned Guitar decently well and piano. There was other small stuff but it never stuck really. She let out a small laugh. "I'm adopted, my Grandma is.. Intense.. She works for the government, We dont talk about It really... But I get the notion of not wanting to be liked for your family and not wanting to be an accessory."

"Ok that is like the most kickass thing I've heard today!" Percy exclaimed, "I have to admit, I'm pretty intimidated right now by your awesomeness. I play guitar and piano too, and some other instruments. It's like once you learn the basic ones you can pick up on the other ones pretty easily," Percy said. "Oh and so I have 3 sisters and when we were kids they all took ballet lessons and I wanted to be like them so I begged my parents to let me go to. They did and it turns out I really love ballet, I'm kinda the best one at it in my family."

"Nah no need to be intimidated. You get to be the first to know, I have terrible anxiety issues, so usually I'm a timid nervous wreck." She had a good laugh over that one. "Im jealous, the music I learned but I'm no pro at it by any means, I've had to play at the bar I work at when the occasional show cancels and let me tell ya, not the best. I always wanted Siblings, like a cool older brother." She gave a small huff "Ok Im gonna say it. You're the manliest man I have met so far. Mad respect for a dude who's secure enough to do ballet and own it. Id love to see it sometime."

"Ok so weird fact about me, I actually really hate being on stage. It's not stage fright or anything, it's just so uncomfortable to be watched by so many people. No one's really thinks of manly as an adjective for me, I'm blushing." Percy said with a laugh, "It's great exercise but again, not a fan of being on stage so not a lot of people know about it."

"Ohhh yeah, I'm a lot softer than I sound." She couldnt help but give a laugh at that. "No I totally get that, I don't like a whole lot of people looking at me. I always get nervous like.. what do they think? I think different things are manly I guess. I like men who aren't afraid to be themselves and like what they like. The concept of whats "masculine" is some bullshit."

"Yeah I think I have the rare family where my dad is actually happier that I'm a good tenor than a good football player or something," Percy said with a laugh, then he put on a rather good impression of a southern accent and a serious tone, "Well Percy now you've got a great voice to do some backup vocals for your sister when she needs them, you really should think about going on tour" he imitated a said too many times statement. Then his voice went back to his normal neutral American accent, "Sometimes family is tough, but I guess it's because they care."

"That I can totally understand. Most parents want their kids to be successful and happy.. My Grandma wants me to be able to disarm a man with a gun for fun. Every family is different I guess. And there it was the knock on the door.
"Ah there it is, that stupid times up. I like you percy, you're a really cool dude. Either way on this I'm gonna have to slide you my number, I need to see the majesty of seven cats live in action." She said with a laugh and waited for any final words, Then she left the room, completely stealing the pink blanket.
