You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you):
General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone)

Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse

"This room is pretty sick! What does it look like on your side?" Valeria asked, still getting used to the whole situation. "There's like a couch here and a super soft fuzzy blanket, some alcohol and chocolate."
She lowered her voice to a mock whisper "I love how they say it's soundproof but like there's totally a camera here."

"Oh no yeah theres totally a camera. Gotta make reality Tv somehow.. Pretty much the same though, a fuzzy blanket which I am totally snuggled in right now and a couch that I feel like belongs in my grandmas house."
He chuckled lowly to himself, his voice a deep raspy purr. "So I'm Alex."

Valeria laughed, it was a full bodied sound, nothing like a little cheerleader giggle. "You are? Me too, I love fuzzy blankets. This couch is pink, everything here is just so girly that I can't stop laughing about it." She gave another chuckle. "I'm Valeria. So are you close with your family?"

"I much prefer my decor with a little less color.. But I bet someone with a good eye could change that." Smooth boy, smooth attempt at flirting. "Im adopted, so biologically no. But I have two amazing parents and three brothers, all also adopted. Still go every Friday night to their place for family dinner. I'd say yeah. What about you?"

"Oh wow that's so sweet of you! My twin brother and I were raised by a single mom, we go visit her a lot too," Valeria said, a smile on her lips. "I like decor to be a bit more natural too. My hobby is making my own furniture."

"I think family is one of the most important things in my life. This is literally the longest I'm going to go without talking to my mom or my brother." There was the tiniest note of sadness in Valeria's voice before it bounced right back up. "My job started as a hobby too. I brew beer. My brother and I own a little brewery. Right now I'm building some cool reclaimed wood tables because we're hoping to open a taproom within the next year."
Valeria paused to think. "I want to find someone that falls in love with me for me and doesn't judge me for what I look like. I'm not exactly the pretty and tiny girly girl type and I'm kinda a handful. Also, my hubby needs to know how to cook because I'm really bad at it. What about you?"

He felt a smile creep over his face. "Honestly same, I miss my mom already, her and her cooking." He gave a small chuckle as he kept his tone nice and even. "Ok wow thats an impressive hobby and and impressive job. I like seeing a woman with ambition and drive."
"So who cares? Beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that, plus, I don't know any girly girls that would shoot whiskey with me at a dive bar, which for the record is fun by the way. I'm mostly looking for someone that knows what they want in life and isnt afraid to take it Someone who just lives to live. They can be bold or shy, theres a beauty to both. And ps, I can totally cook thanks to Mom. I'll take my bonus points."

Valeria let out another one of her hearty laughs "Ok so I can totally shoot some whiskey but I think it's too early for me to actually challenge you to a whiskey shootout. Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself in it." she teased.
"And the bonus points awarded. I think my next goal after the taproom will be to start distilling whiskey. Winter Twins brewery can turn into a full-blown distillery someday. It's a lot of hard work but I really love it. I have a business degree, but I always only wanted to do work I care about, not just some desk job things. I'm definitely the bold type, if you can't tell yet." She was pretty sure he could tell, but not seeing facial expressions made it hard.

"Alright we're totally gonna go toe to toe sometime. It'll be legendary and for the record, I'm secure enough to get my ass whooped by a girl." He chuckled to himself slightly. "Honestly I understand the passion, If the whole music thing doesn't work out it's off to a boring job that I don't really care about.. Mechanic just like dear old Dad." He let out another chuckle, and there was some softness to it. "Already ticking off those boxes, Whiskey, wit, ambition and a take life by the face attitude... I can totally tell."

"Oh this sounds too good to be true, I'm down, put my name down in the little notebook with some stars." He laughed out daringly. "Viking blood huh, so any future kids are totally gonna kick my ass? I have no idea what my lineage is but the Knight clan is not a clan of quitters." He gave his own bold little tease.
"Alt rock, a lot of covers and some original stuff, It'd be hard to pick just one thing to say I like though. I will say I'm not above covering some Panic at the Disco all the way to buckcherry."

"Of course the girls gotta kick ass, No ones gonna pull any shit with a daughter of mine." There was a small huff with the words. "Not gonna lie, do love some pop punk. What inspires me.. I grew up a little rough, not bad but I had my own shit, being adopted and finding out young always kinda messes with someone, so a lot of my stuff that I write is based on that and feeling like you don't belong."

"Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't call that a cliche," Valeria said very matter of factly. "I'd call it... relatable," she said thoughtfully. "Music helped me out a lot when I was a teenager, and I think it's important that all stories get told because there's always some kid out there that will relate to it ya know."

"I can understand that.. Music.. Well I'm probably dropping the deal breaker here. When I was a teenager I got mixed up in drugs, Music helped me through that, so It's as much a part of me as my skin. So uh, I know this is probably wrapping up soon.. Any burning questions that may rule me out of possibly getting a second date?" He said the last part with a nervous laugh.
"You're pretty.. I dont wanna say cool cause I feel that isn't the right word and epic will make me sound like a dork. You seem really, really awesome."

"I'm not going to judge about three pounds of beef jerky as long as you share," Valeria said with a laugh, then on a more serious note, "Oh I'm definitely different, probably in a good way, maybe in an intimidating way, I feel super awkward at fancy dinners, can't put on makeup to save my life, and am likely to wear jeans to my own wedding. But also I really want to be a mom one day and I give the best hugs."
