You arrived yesterday and met all of your suite mates. Today is your first day of dates! This morning your phones were all taken from you and will be returned either when you go home or at the start of stage 3! No social media, no contact with the outside world, just a chance for you to focus on your connections with other people here. (You were told this would be the case when you first signed up to be a participant)
The first round of dates will be relatively quick. You'll get a chance to meet all the ladies/gents. The first dates will last about 10-20 minutes (IC) and the purpose is a short little getting to know you.
Here are some topics you might consider talking about (though it's TOTALLY up to you): General lifestyle (partier/works a lot/spends most time at home alone) Occupation Hopes for this event/what you're looking for in a spouse Hobbies/Passions
RULES - Remember to keep physical descriptions out of your conversations. - Each person gets only 10 posts in this thread! - Posts are limited to 150 words! The idea is to give your characters a little taste but leave them wanting MORE!
Will you start to make a connection today? Let's find out!
This date is for Valeria Winter & Dean Baelish!
You enter the pods, one person on each side in a soundproofed room. This allows you to feel totally secluded and private from the other participants who may be near you. This is your chance to get a feel for the women/men who are here and who you might be interested in continuing to get to know!

"Hello? Anyone in here? So weird not being able to see," Valeria said with a hearty laugh. "Ok so if you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be?"

"It is weird, isn't it?" Dean replied. "You have a nice voice though, I like your laugh." He said with flirtatious confidence. "Ooh, that's a good one. I'd be surfing on the beach. What about you?" After she replied he asked, "Let's pretend that you have a bonus day off that you hadn't expected. What would you do with your day?"

"Really? I've always been a bit self conscious about it, it's not really dainty or anything," Valeria laughed again, a little shy from the compliment. "I would 100% be snowboarding if I could be anywhere. But if I had a day off and I wasn't on a mountain, I'd spend it in my workshop." Her confidence bounced right back.

"Well you shouldn't be, it's nice." He said about her laugh. "I've never been snowboarding, but if it's surfing on snow, I bet I could figure it out." He laughed a little. "What do you do in your workshop?" He asked.

"Hey since when did I say mind reading was allowed?" Valeria teased" "I think the same thing, but backwards. They're both boards right? Maybe we'll have to trade skills, I pick up athletic stuff pretty quickly."
"I have a hobby of woodworking. I make as much of my own furniture as I can, it's pretty relaxing."

Dean laughed. "Deal, we'll make a date out of it. I'd love to learn and to teach." He told her happily.
"Woodworking huh? That's pretty dang awesome, a girl who can handle her tools. That's pretty hot." He said with a genuine impressed tone. "What's your favorite piece so far?"

"Yeah, I have a workshop in my garage. I totally have to say that the coolest piece I made was the sign for my brewery. I used like a ton of layers for the resin parts because I wanted it just perfect. Right now I'm making tables for a taproom, all reclaimed wood or natural cuts and I want to make my own snowboard one day," Valeria said enthusiastically. "So do you have any other cool hobbies?

"Oh no way, I'd love to see that! I love that use your stuff in your business too and not just hiding it away at home for yourself. That's really cool. And making your own snowboard? That's awesome!" He said enthusiastically.
"Let's see, my only other real 'hobby' I guess would be touring my own city. I like to check out all the new bars and clubs when they open and support local businesses. Other than that, I mostly spend a lot of time exercising and working. I'm a personal trainer so that's kind of one in the same. I'm also trained for massage therapy which I use at work as well, they go really well hand in hand actually."

"Technically, I don't yet. I haven't actually opened a taproom, but my fingers are crossed it's going to happen soon so right now my garage is a total mess." Valeria said, "I hope my future taproom will make it to your touring the city list. There's some really cool spots around San Diego."
"Also I'm not going to be one of those girls that goes all gaga when a guy says massage, but that sounds like some major brownie points," Valeria added, "my legs know I need that after a long day on the slopes."

"Oh I'm sure it will be! Do you have a name for the taproom yet for when you open? I'll make sure I add it to my list." He said with enthusiasm. "I love me a good taproom!"
He laughed when she talked about massage. "I do try not to use it as a way to get girls." He laughed again. "Mostly I do sports massage actually and help loosen up muscles and tendons to avoid injury or help recover from injury."

"Just naming it after my brewery. It's called Winter Twins, not super original but my twin is my business partner and our last name is Winter, so yeah Winter Twins," Valeria said, "I'm straight up going to try to build my own pool table for it. Also, sports massage kinda made that even more attractive, it's the only kind of massage I ever need anyways. I snowboard and I used to play basketball, but I'm kinda down for anything physical."

There was the sound of pencil on paper. "Winter...Twins... Got it." He said with a dot of punctuation on the paper. "Ooo! I love pool!" He said enthusiastically. "I love a girl who can keep up physically, I bet we'd have a lot of fun together actually." He admitted to her.
"At the very least it sounds like your the kind of girl who could put me in my place." He said with a chuckle.

"I grew up with just me and my brother. Our mom had to work a lot. I'm older by six minutes and until junior year of high school, I was shorter than him so I had to learn how to put a guy in his place," Valeria said, "I like to think fun is my middle name, that's what I love about breweries, the environment is just fun. Even before I opened one, I started working at one in college and it was just super chill, no pressure fun."

"Well I don't doubt your 'putting in place' skills." He said to her with a light tone. "I'm all about fun, so I definitely am feeling you on that statement. I'd love a woman who I can have fun with and someone who can ground me when I get too crazy." He said with a little laugh. "Seriously though, I do.
So, speaking of middle names, what is your actual middle name?" He asked.

"It's Maybel, with a Y, that's because it's an anagram of my brother's middle name, Belamy," Valeria said with a laugh, "I'm really glad my mom didn't take the twin thing too far. Now you have to tell me yours."

"Oh that's pretty cool, way to go for your mom for tying your names together without getting too crazy." He said. "My middle name is far more boring, just William."
"Okay, let's see, what...is the craziest slash most dangerous thing you've ever done? Either or." He asked.

"Ok this is kinda stupid so don't judge too hard. But I learned how to ride a motorcycle before I could ride a bike and it was super dumb to try but I survived. Also the whole growing up with a brother thing, I kinda would try anything on a dare. Also I once tried to snowboard while it was too icy and that was my first major snowboarding injury, broke my arm in two places actually." Valeria admitted, somehow more proud than sorry about the whole thing."What about you?"

"Seriously woman, did you drop out of heaven just for me?" He said, half joking. "Seriously though, I'd love to find someone who's willing to get a little crazy sometimes, go on adventures with me, soak in our youth while we still have it." He said with a little laugh.
"Let's see, what haven't I done?" He joked. "Once on a dare I jumped off the roof of a frat house, not my own, and broke my fall in a garage bin. I broke my collar bone and two fingers and spend the night in the hospital with a concussion. It was...not my finest hour." he admitted with a chuckle.

"Wow that's super dumb, but I think you more than paid for it" Valeria said with a teasing laugh, "For the record I've never had a concussion before. That's because I always wear my helmet," She said putting on a matter of fact voice, but she was still full of laughter. "I did once take my skateboard off the second floor of a parking deck and I'm pretty proud to say that I nailed it. I twisted my ankle really bad a week later doing something way less cool though."
"So were you actually in a frat?"
